all the wires should be hooked up on certain decks. if they are not theymust be closed for the system to respond. does everything else work? just the volume ajusting doesnt work? if so maybe it is the unit itself
Car Radio Battery Constant 12v+ Wire: Orange Car Radio Accessory Switched 12v+ Wire: Red Car Radio Ground Wire: Black/White Car Radio Illumination Wire: Red/Black Car Stereo Amp Trigger Wire: Pink (also known as the remote wire) Left Front Speaker Positive Wire (+): Tan Left Front Speaker Negative Wire (-): Gray Right Front Speaker Positive Wire (+): Light Green Right Front Speaker Negative Wire (-): Dark Green Left Rear Speaker Positive Wire (+): Brown Left Rear Speaker Negative Wire (-): Yellow Right Rear Speaker Positive Wire (+): Dark Blue Right Rear Speaker Negative Wire (-): Light Blue Here is the installation manual for your particular deck. Click Here. The first thing you should focus is getting the unit to power on. Follow the diagrams and you should be fine. Once you get your deck to power on then you can move on to the speakers. I tried to provide as much info as I can. Let me know if you need anymore help
has the radio ever worked since you had it put in? There is a chance that either the installers never reconnected your antenna, or it wasnt seated all the way and finally wiggled loose. Could also be mute wires are wired wrong.
screw the code, disconnect the wire and run it directly to your radios ground wire and be done with it. By doing this you bypass the safety, you cant just ground the wire, it has to be a live source ground.
THERE IS A GROUND WIRE THAT IS USUALLY WIRED TO THE EMERGENCY BRAKE IT WILL BE A LONG BLACK OR BROWN WIRE COMMING OFF THE BACK OF THE RADIO GOING SOMEWERE AWAY FROM THE RADIO TAKE THAT WIRE AND HOOK IT TO A SOLID GROUND AND IT WILL WORK ALL THE TIME
there should be a wire they wanted you to hook to the parking brake as a safetyfeature so you cant drive and watch tv. but you can just take that wire and ground it to your black ground wire on your radio that should give you your pic
