Question about Garmin nuvi 750 GPS Receiver
I had a new battery in my car and did not suspect my Garmin of killing the battery, but it did. I then put it in my truck which has 2 batteries. After a day of driving I unplugged the Garmin. The next morning both batteries in the truck were completely drained. I recharged my car battery a week ago and it has been just fine. Is it possible, if the Garmin battery is poor, that it works against the charging system?

i have had the same problem obviously. all i did was get a TORX TX5 screw driver and open up 2 screws. carefully lift off the cover(its just snapped in). Warning: battery and speaker are attached to the cover so do not pull the cover off or it will break the wire. carefully unplug the battery and leave it out for a 20 mins or so. plug it back in and it should power up and then connect it to internet, download webupdater and update. thats it and the problem is fixed.

A new battery can be purchased and installed inexpensively. I found a video.
