Hello,
Your charging / power port on your laptop may be damaged. Does the laptop work on A/C only without the battery plugged in?

fully charge battery and make sure everything switched off i.e rear window demist etc and take it for a run to get it up to tempature then park up rev engine at fast idle approx 2750 rpm for 180 seconds then take foot off throttle and allow to idle for 30 seconds this will clear your catalyst and get it up to the 600 degrees needed for it to operate properly this should remove the engine warning light

HP lap top Charger light blinks six times?

if it's a new laptop it could indicate that the battery needs to charge for 30 minutes before use. if it's not a new laptop it could mean that the bios configuration is corrupt. if that's the case go to the hp support website and download the latest bios update and reflash your bios.

I've got a password on my laptop and have not been able to remember it now for months, I have an Acer Aspire 7730 which is approx 4 or 5 years old now can you please help.

Just re-install the software again and your are done with this issue. Use the recovery disc that came with the computer or use a new Operating System disc be sure it is Windows that originally came or compatible with your computer. Then you can start fresh without any password needed until you do another one, HINT: I use my last four digits of my social so that I will never forget my password ever.

Why is my hp 6730b laptop keeps on blinking as soon as i switch it on?

Which lights are blinking, or is it the monitor?
I've seen this happen on the battery charge indicator when a battery is at the end of its life, because it cannot take and hold a charge, so the charging circuit keeps cycling on and off continuously.
If it's a different light, it all depends on which light is blinking.

I have an HP G60-235X that I purchased a little more than a year ago. About 6 months ago, I began to notice less charge life in the battery and a very high temperature from the battery pack. Now, and...

You need a new battery. One or more cells is defective. Obviously it's unsafe to continue using a battery pack if it gets hot enough to cause burns, so remove the pack from the computer. You can continue to use the computer on AC power until you get a replacement battery.

You might try contacting HP to see if there's any kind of warranty accommodation they can make. I've found several mentions in various forums about batteries in similar models going bad and that HP replaced them, but they were all within a year of purchase. Can't hurt to ask, though.
