You can try resetting the device and that should resolve the issue.
1.Power off the phone.2.Press and hold Vol+ key and Power key simultaneously until several blue sentences appear on the screen which are reboot system now; apply update from sdcard; wipe data/factory reset; wipe cache partition.3.Use Vol+ key and Vol- key to move the cursor to "wipe data/factory reset" and press camera key to confirm it.4.There are many words "No" and one sentence "Yes -- delete all user data". Use Vol+ key and Vol- key to move the cursor to "Yes -- delete all user data". Press camera key to confim it.5.The phone will finish the reseting by itselft after about 10 seconds later and then the cursor will be on "reboot system now" and press camera key to confirm it. The phone will reboot automatically. There is no unlock and password any more after the phone is on.

maybe by mistake you reduce the volume on the iphone.

try the following during a call press on the right control up volume to see if that improve your sound.

if that doesn't work you should go to an apple store or your cell provider.

Hi there. It sounds like the speaker on your phone is broken! Try enabling speakerphone and see if that works. If it does, then your phone speaker is definitely broken and you should take your phone into your carrier to try and get it fixed. If you don't have speaker phone, I would still go to your carrier and ask for a repair. Alex

Phone shows a voice mail but no message on phone

The phone's voice mail indicator works with the voice mail function from your phone service provider. When your line is busy or goes unanswered (depending on how it's set up), the message is recorded by your service provider at their end, and you need to retrieve it. Most systems give a "stutter dialtone" when you pick up the phone to make a call (a few short bursts of dialtone before it becomes steady) to tell you when there's a waiting message. The message waiting light on the phone lets you know in case you don't pick the phone often.

Once you pick up your voice mail the light will go out and the dialtone will go back to normal. Check with your service provider for how to do it.

Sounds like it is not detecting any dialtone, can you find a regular corded phone and plug your line cord that is going into the cordless into it. See if you hear dialtone here.

Cannot call out or answer a call

The only thing I can think of is you may be in the wrong dial mode. If you do not have touch tone service you will hear the tones but it will not connect. Try setting it to pulse and see if you can call out. Check you volume or see if the mute has been set. Have you tried a different phone? you might want to borrow a phone from a neighbor to see if it is a service problem or just your phone.
