I constantly read frequent requests for RADIO CODES referring to the disconnection of battery power ( whether its for changing the battery, etc.) and the radio is now INOP. Here is a simple way to save radio codes, radio stations, clock time and computer settings. Purchase from an auto parts dealer, a 9 volt battery powered lighter socket connector. Plug into lighter, do your battery work, After work is completed, disconnect, and radio will work as before. Unit will cost less than 20.00 and well worth it.

Radio changing stations as well as tachometer at 0 or moving random while driving.

No, you have two separate issues. The tach is run by a logic chip in the instrument panel. This chip also runs other things, like the speedometer. So you have a bad solder joint on the tach motor(easy fix after the IP is out). The radio changing stations is because the button is stuck or moisture in the button. These aren't hard to replace either. You spend more time dismantling the radio than fixing the problem. Is the radio worth it?

The radio stations will not stay set when I turn radio off/on. Keeps going back to 87.5 on all memory buttons.

Hi. There is likely an internal battery within the device that has run flat over time. Changing this should cure the problem.

How do i reset the time on a 2005 monte carlo?

if you are referring to the time listed on the radio, there should be two little buttons just below the tuning dial on your stock radio, one is for minutes the other for hours. I believe you have to hold them down in order to start changing the time.
