No. Your Dell Dimension uses PC-2100 type memory. Your Dell Dimension can support up to 1GB of memory. For optimal performance install the maximum amount of memory in each socket. Your Dell Dimension 4500 has 2 banks of 1 socket each for a total of 2 memory sockets.
