I WANT TO BE ABLE TO ENTER NAMES AND PHONE NUMBERS IN THE DIRECTORY AND DESIGNATE SOME TO SPEED DIAL. I HAVE A GE FOUR LINE CORDED PHONE WITH CALLER ID SPEAKERPHONE AND INTERCOM

If you could also provide the exact model number of your GE phone, then I could certainly help you find the precise instructions for carrying out those procedures. Normally you should find the model number printed on the very bottom (underside)of the telephone.
Please just comment back with that additional information and I will be pleased to provide any assistance you need.
Thank you.
Joe.
