Question about Dell Dimension 4500 PC Desktop
Dell 4500 with Windows XP Pro, bitterly slow, so decided to reload OS and all the software. I have original Windows CD that it came with. Put CD in and rebooted computer, a screen comes up which says "press any key to boot from CD". I don't want to boot, I want to wipe out the stuff on the hard drive and reload XP, the drivers and software. Tried to enter setup, but pressed "del" as instructed, won't enter setup. Also tried F1, F2 and space bar, didn't work.
Depending on the age of your PC it may have Dell automatic recovery
During startup at the Dell Screen hold down the CTRL key and tap F11 twice
It may display the Dell Recovery from which you can set your computer back to factory settings
Please note all your files will be deleted
