SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

SOURCE: does anyone know who to make region 2 Samsung

Below is a known process to unlock your region settings. Not 100% surefire.

1) Turn on the player with no disc in the tray
Wait till the unit is at the Samsung logo screen.

2) Open then close the tray, wait to see the No-Disc Message in the top Left Corner

3) Now press the REPEAT button on the remote, followed by a five digit code.
In this case Repeat 76884

Now it to me about 20 tries to get this to work, It needed to be done without delay.
So if you don’t get it to work straight away don’t loose heart.

4) When it works a 4 will appear in the top left corner

5) Press 9 to make it regionless.
6) Press Eject to OPEN to open the disc tray.
7) Press Eject to CLOSE to close the disc tray.

8) Power the unit off

9) Now power the unit on again, it should now read all regions of DVD Disc.

From other threads I got the follow list of region codes.

R1 - 29334
R2 - 57538
R3 - 56732
R4 - 76884
R5 - 53814
R6 - 24462

Post back and let me know if this works. Thank you for trying Fixya!

SOURCE: how to play region A blu ray discs on region c Blu

The Player will not play the Blu-ray discs other than Region C.
This is because all the Blu-ray/DVD Players are designed such way that it will play only the discs that are manufactured and sold in the same country where the Player is manufactured.

You can play the discs that are "Region ALL".

However, you may try copying the content of the Region A/B Blu-ray discs to a Computer then create a video Blu-ray disc to check whether you can play them in the BDPS370.

My samsung bd-p1600 will not play blu ray movies

If it plays other Blue Ray discs OK then either the disc is faulty or it is the wrong region. If it previously played, then my bet is that the disc has a scratch or dirt on it. If you have another blue-ray player or you have a friend with one try it on that or theirs.

Is it okay to import a US Blu-ray player and use it in a UK home or would that create issues e.g volts?

DVD player (Blu Ray and standard) as well as the discs themselves are region specific. A region 1 disc won't work in a region 2 machine and vice versa unless you have a region unlocked unit which are rare and exoensive. There is also different voltages (US 120 v and Europe 240 v) all in all it would be cheaper and easier to purchase one in the UK. But your discs from the US won't play in it.

Would this player be able to play region 1 and 2 discs? Some of the Classical DVD's I would like to order also requires an NTSC (American compatable TV.) Would it work on my new flat screen Samsung?

Answer is... NO, not unless your TV is a multisystem and the DVD player is also Multi-system too. Some PAL/SECAM DVD allow NTSC playback, but will not allow recording through the line in connection EVEN to a NTSC compatible TV. Best to keep your system fully multisystem if you intend of doing this routinely.

I have a samsung BD c5500 bluray player. When I try to play movies it says mismatch disk and region code. How can I fix this?

Providing that you have a legal DVD player that is meant to play discs in this country and that you have bought a legal disc (not an illegal bootleg copy) you might need to do a firmware update on player.

If player has internet connectivity you can do it directly on player - it should be a menu prompt to update firmware

if no internet connection is available on player you will need to contact Samsung and have them send firmware update to you on a disc and load it that way

If either disc or player is a bootleg or grey/black market purchase than that is the issue

Players will only play discs from the region they were made to work in

USA is region 1

good luck

Blue ray will not play dvd but will play blue ray samsung db p1500

Blue ray uses a blue laser spectrum and DVD uses the red spectrum. The blueray player must have dual capability to play both red and blue spectrum discs. If it has been and is broken, contact the manufacturer for the 1 year warranty. If it has never played DVD then most likely its not compatible.

Won't play new blue ray disk

Will your machine play standard movie DVD discs? if it does then the laser pickup assembly is the problem. The blue ray discs require a higher precision tracking to offer better resolution.

Blue ray player wont play blue ray ''Kung Fu Panda'' disc.

i fixed this exactly as previous posted solutions, however a couple of points.
a) recordable CDs work if you don't have a DVD burner.
b) I didn't have a CD burner that would do an "image burn", I downloaded a free copy of "Express Burn" and that worked fine. The disk needs to be "finalised" or "fixated", it should do this automatically, or it may be a tick box selection.
c) I got a "No DWLD 09" when I put the disk into the player. I found this was an incompatibility with the CD-R (Maxwell) I was using. I changed to JVC and it worked fine.
