Question about Technics SC-DV290 System
You most definately have a faulty spindle motor. this is very common on technics and panasonic dvd players. i've come across this fault on numerous occasions and after replacing the motor, all worked as it should. hope this helps?

I have this problam too. i was surprised to see the number of people who have this audio system and also have the same problam.i wish someone would tell me of a repair centre i could take it to.
