If you are using the powder or the liquid then you can see if this is used and the condition of the clothes must confirm., If not increase the quantity on the tray.

SOURCE: Hi! i have a problem

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
Try this first-

I would gently suggest as a first step that you clean the drain motor/pump lint tray/filter. So many 'faults' are caused by blocked filters and many machines will not even go to rinse or spin or release the door lock if there is any water still left inside.
Following are my complete and hopefully 'coverall' pre-typed guidance notes for checking both the drain motor filter and the drain motor ;-0)
REMOVE POWER AND ENSURE YOU HAVE A WATER RECEPTACLE/RAGS TO SOAK UP THE WATER WHICH IS BOUND TO POUR OUT (alternatively use a wet vac as sensibly suggested by VinnyB1234!)
If you are unsure where the filter is, it is often behind the front lower (kick) panel (or in some machines at the rear in an awkward position!). These panels are either held on by (plasic) screws or will just pull off. Most filters are held in by a round cover/knob. Sometimes the filter will not come out with the cover and you will have to persuade it to come out to play.
It's surprising what people have found in theirs! It is always worthwhile checking it on a regular basis.
Now- whilst the filter is removed it is normally possible to see the drain motor and ensure it is not jammed by a foreign object such as a needle or a toothpick. It should be able to be turned by hand/finger- the power IS OFF!
At this point it is also possible to test if the motor works. No clothes or water in the machine, select a spin cycle and put the power back on. You should be able to see the motor turning at some point, possibly straight away. Using something suitable like a glove see if it is easy to briefly slow the motor down. If it is easy then the motor is malfunctioning.

If this has assisted you please consider a 4 thumbs up for the rating.
Thanks and good luck!

SOURCE: I bought the Samsung 8

As with any top-loader, the soap drawer will deposit the entire soap load on one spot within the first few seconds of water fill. When the water starts running through the soap drawer, the brakes on the drum are released, so you can manually rotate the drum to disperse the soap over the load surface, thus eliminating the concentrated spots. Also, you may save the duvet, as the white marks are most probably dried soap powder which can be removed with a damp cloth wiped over the area.

My washing machine does a load but there is clumps of washing powder left on the clothes

Most likley a combination of cheaply made soap, and wadded clothing. Not to mention the fact you should put the soap in first, let it desolve, then add the clothing in in a circular mannor. Not balls. Try this. If all else fails, use gain. its cheap, liquid, and smells great.

I want to bypass the soap dispenser on my Kenmore HE front loader.

There's no reason you couldn't just put powder HE detergent on top of the clothes before you wash. The water will still run through the soap dispenser

My clothes do not seem as fresh as usual and some even smell damp rather than washed (some feel a bit dry too). The soap unit has gone really black from the back and the pipe underneath it is black from...

Mine does this too. I've also noticed that no water is visable through the door window and I'm sure the bottom of the drum should be submerged. I've been adding a bowl of water after the m/c has taken water in, which seems to help, but I don't know what the long term solution is. But definitely get a cloth out and clean the soap unit and housing!

The whashing comes out with white powder like stuff. Can I clean the drum and if so how ? is it flint that gathers some where?

Hello Sir Tommis,

I understand that you are having a problem with your washing machine. When you wash clothes they come out with a white powder like substance on them. This white powder substance is the powder laundry soap that you are using.

This is generally caused by adding to much soap and clothes to the washing machine. The soap is not getting dissolved and the clothes do not have enough room to agitate in the machine. Try to put 3/4 of the amount of clothes in the washer with the same amount of soap and see if the clothes come out with the same powder like substance on them.

The clothes that currently have the soap on them will have to be hand washed with a scrub brush in oder to get the material off of them as running them though the washer will not remove the soaked in soap.

Thank you for choosing FixYa.com

Why does my washer leave spotes all over my cloths

I am going to go on a limb here , because my front load was just fixed this week. With front load washers 'more is better' on detergent. If you have normal city water; you should only use 1-2 Table spoons of soap. YES! Modern HE detergent is designed NOT to foam. So, if you see bubbles - you have to much soap. Do your cloths smell if you leave them in the washer? Again, that's the soap breaking down. Towels smell after you use them? Too much soap.
Also, make sure your washer is level (there are 4 adjustable feet) under a washer, that can be turned to adjust the washer. This helps it to drain properly.

Lastly, too much soap... when it gets to the pump (that takes the water out of the machine) will whip it around like butter; and dirt, and just can get stuck in that butter until the next load; and probably, that is what is re depositing onto your clothing. Finally, try powder vs liquid detergent. Best of luck. Leave 4 hands up if you find this helpful.

The washer smells, had the problem before the repairman took it apart, I cleaned the white plastis rim on the tub, solved the problem soap buildup we need to know how to take it apart to clean it

Dont !! Try doing a hot wash with a good dose of Washing Soda Crystals and no clothes (An empty washer not a visit to a nudist colony). Also go back to Old Fashioned Soap Powder for a while. Cold wash powders and low teperature washes do not dissolve the fats which are washed out of the clothes and they build up causing the smells. Old fashioned powders had some bleach and soda in them which kept the problem at bay

Soap in LG

Hello, to answer your question, it depends. Are you using liquid detergent or powder? How dirty are your clothes? How bulky are your clothes?
For average size clothes and normal dirt I use about a cup of powder. If the clothes are dirty and/or bulky I just hit the "water plus" button. These machines are so efficient you don't want too much soap, just add water.
If your using liquid make sure it's approved for front load washers and use it sparingly. The most I have put in is about half up on the dispensing cup in the washer. Remember to remove this if your using powder. Any more questions just ask. Good luck.

Clothes smell after wash cleaned filter still clothes smell

set the machine off on a 95c wash with no clothes or soap in, the most likely cause is a build up of soap scum on the inside of the drum, also try to alternate between washing powders and liquid tablets.

hope this helps

Smoke smell coming from my 80 series Washer

do you actually see smoke or is it you have a burning smell
if you have a smell the motor may be overloading on spin
sometimes this is due to too much soap powder in wash
and when machine spins the water cant get away due to soap suds under and around bowl
acts like a brake on motor
try no soap powder in next wash
a good way to tell is that you still have soap in washing if you lift the lid (with no soap powder added)
