Slapping your girlfriend will not help at all, but you definetely have to ask for watchmakers help to dry out your watch properly. Moisture may not be visible to your eye, but it's still in the watch case and ruins your watch movement permanently and quite quick.
Sooner or later your watch will stop or show some other faults, but by that time the price for repair can be sky-high.
I've been replacing whole movements, just because the owners thought it's not a big deal or didn't want to pay for such a job. It just sounds 'drying out', but actually it's not, as watch must be disassembled completely (incl. movement), cleaned, oiled and properly re-adjusted.
Watch repairs has never been cheap, but better do it as soon as possible.
Do not forget to rate, please.

My tag stop working when a shake it works for one or two hours then stop pl. guide how to handle

The tag is a high quality product and it would be best to entrust examination and possible maintenance to a tag dealer or perhaps better have it returned to the manufacture for service where the best quality battery will be fitted, internal cleanliness assured and the water resistance restored and tested.

An 'overhaul' as we say in watchmaking refers to completely disassembling your watch, repairing or replacing parts as necessary, cleaning the movement in a machine designed for cleaning watches, reassembly, regulating the timekeeping to the best of the watches ability, polishing or cleaning the case and band and possibly replacing the crystal if necessary. It varies slightly from brand, watchmaker, quartz or mechanical, pocket or wrist but generally this is what an overhaul refers to. It is a complete refurbishment of your watch.

Red rubber around watch faded

My experience with Tag Heuer is that if it is covered under warranty, they will fix it. If not - they will fix it at significant cost. My stainless steel Tag was repaired after water damage for over $300.
Alternatively, if the watch still works, sell it on eBay but be clear that it is sold as a used watch, and show a clear picture of the face of the watch so buyers can see the fading. Some buyers will not care. Use the money to buy a new watch.

Screw down crown wont screw down

Either the crown or the case tube threads are stripped. Which ever part is stripped needs to be replaced. Keep in mind that both could be the problem. Be sure you don't get your watch wet until this is fixed. Your watch is NOT sealed for water resistance if the crown does not screw down.

Hope this helps.

Hi there i have bought a second hand tag heuer carrera tachymeter,i dont have a user manual, but cant seem to get the chronograph functions to work ?

Great watch! Operation should be pretty straight forward. The top button starts the chrono and stops it. The bottom button resets it. To calibrate the sweep arm into the right position pull the crown out to the first or second set position and press the start button until the sweep arm is in the start position you desire. This is typically 12:00 or 0.
If your chrono is not working then have the battery checked. If the battery has been recently replaced then make sure the watch doesn't need to be cleared.
I recommend you take this to a watch maker/technician who will be familiar with the service requirements of this model including resealing and pressure testing the watch to be sure it is sealed to its marked water resistance specifications.

Thanks!

Water ingress

Peter,
I am not a Tag expert, but do have quite a bit of experience with Rolex and Tudor watches. Without a shadow of a doubt, the top three water egress points are:
  1. Crown
  2. Crystal
  3. Caseback
I would check the recent service receipt to make sure they replaced the crown gasket (or o-ring). If you know for sure you have submerged or wet the watch without the crown being tightened in the past, the problem is likely a mis-aligned or missing gasket (o-ring). Also, have your watchmaker take a look at the crystal and caseback. I had a watch serviced once -- and the watchmaker forgot to tighten the caseback. Thankfully, no water got into the watch.

I hope your results are satisfactory.
Regards,
CharlieJ

Tissot T-Touch : Faulty reading on Thermo, no reading on Altimeter and meteo not working either

If it's under warranty by all means pursue a fix. You might have to send it to a warranty center instead of working with your local dealer.

"Water proof" and "water resistant" are very different. About 20 years ago all watch companies stopped promising waterproof and started using the term water resistant. It gives them wiggle room in the guarantee, unfortunately. I believe T-Touch is supposed to be water resistant to only a few meters.
