Most car seats have a six year expiration from the date of manufacture (not first use). Some seats may have an expiration date on a label, or may have an expiration date embossed into the plastic. To be certain, call the manufacturer. In the USA, call 800-544-1108 (Dorel Juvenile Group). There are several recalls on the 22-150 model. See www.carseat.org and click on "recalls."
When did you sign up for the 1 year account? It could've expired and you didn't know you were getting close to the expiration date. If it's been less than a year then call Customer Support at 1-800-4MY-XBOX
There can be two causes to this problem. One, the batteries that you put in may be expired. Some batteries have expiration dates on them (i.e. Duracell). If the year on it has expired or is coming near to expiring, you may have to put newer batteries in there that are longer lasting in years. Even if the expiration year is far-off, you still may need to put newer batteries in the bay. Two, your hypothesis of changing the lithium battery are correct. I read in the manual that you should change it every 3 or 4 years. The lithium battery is the back-up battery and it is like a memory card for you calculator. Whenever you put a new fresh set of batteries in the bay, the lithium battery saves your information while you are inserting the batteries in the bay. When you turn on the calculator again, it saves your functions that you've had in there. Hope this clears up your confusion! Reply back if you are still seeing the message.

The problem you are experiencing is closely related to the dreaded RROD (Red Ring of Death). It has the same causes and solutions. I suggest getting an experienced person to repair your console for you. Take care that no one is doing the "Towel Trick" instead of an actual repair.
I run an electronics repair business and would be happy to fix your machine for you, email me at Jordan@jordanselectronics.com for more info
