Onkyo HT-S6100 to OPPO Dv 980H to Sony Bravia KDL 40W4100

I,ve hook up all the HDMI plugs as shown on the Onkyo RV component hookup chart .The sound is amazeing watching thru the cable but I can't get any video or sound for my OPPO dvd player. I'm confused on the imput asignment it shows both a TV assignment and the HDMI3 I asign it to when I leave it on TV it shows the TV picture wtih a wide screen picture but with the HDMI imput it also comes up a boxed screen imputs, why does it have 2 assignments ? Then I'm not getting anything with my DVD , I have it hooked to HDMI3 from the RV to the DVD HMDI player like it shows, The RV HDMI out to in on TV HDMI also the Rv HDMI cable to the cable box . Why can't I get DVD audio or sound?. Am I not assigninh somthing right . Hope you can help I've been at it for 2 days. Karen

Make sure none of the Digital or Component Input Assignments are programmed, if you're not using them. Set them to "----". This may help. Some of the Component input assignments may over-ride your other input assignments (perhaps even the HDMI input assignments).

36 inch sony bravia tv I hve no sound plz help

Check whether the audio is muted by accidental press at remote control button. Enter its sound menu, and check it. If muted, as you know there will be no audio output. If not muted, Check the speaker/s. If found OK; check and replace the damaged component/s at its audio output section circuit board. If needy, replace this board as card basis. Sony Bravia flat screen TV when turned on has black screen. Green light on the bottom is lite up, electric plug is plugged into house socket, no picture only black screen.

If audio is OK, the fault is with its backlight section. If audio too is absent, the fault is with its digital main board. If you wish to get more details visit the site linked here. Pull up older posts.

Unplug the power then hold the power button down and plug the unit in again to reset it. If not this is probably a component fault.
