Question about Webcams

Cannot connect my mikomi AP-3211 webcam

I have connected up my Mikomi webcam, no problem. Everything works fine except I cannot connect it to another computer. I am using MSN if thats any help. I can use the microphone and can hear the other person I just cannot see them. It keeps saying that the webcam is connected to another programme so cannot be connected.

    web cam working fine but when i go on msn messenger it says i have a webcam but when i go to use video call i only have mic no cam i can see other person but they cant see or hear me i have spent hours trying to sort it out nothing works please help!! if ne1 can please email me at sarashaw_69@hotmail.com thankyou xx

Mikomi dc-7120 webcam on Skype


Problem solved:
by shutting down all other programs including the webcam itself, this enabled the webcam to be accessed by Skype and all worked fine!

Have mikomi webcam ap-7121u ,but i have not cd-rom.help me .please


Normal 0 Double click on this site to download Mikomi Camera drivers.

Find your camera number and download the drivers.
Then do this:
Disconnect the Camera from the USB port and reinstall the CD or Downloaded softwareprogram. When the program asks you to connect the camera to theUSB port, do so and it should work.Then to use it on the Web, do this.
Web Camera’s have to besetup on the program they are to be used with. Just installing the cameraon your computer does not set it up to broadcast on messengers or Skype.
Each program has Options that have to be setup in order forthe Audio and Video to function properly.
A. Skype Setup:
After downloading and installing Skype (http://www.skype.com/intl/en-gb/download/skype/windows/beta/downloading/) set it up as follows:
  1. Go to Tools, then Options, and click on Audio Settings and set the Microphone and Speakers to the computer Audio Card.
  2. Then click on the Video Settings.
  3. The camera if Installed Properly will come up and show a video picture.
  4. Then, on the bottom of the page click on Save.
The camera and audio should function properly. Yourfriends and Family will now be able to see and her to you.

B. Yahoo Setup:
After downloading and installing Yahoo Messenger (http://www.soft32.com/download_30.html) set it up as follows:
  1. Go to Messenger at the top left and click on it.
  2. Next go down to Preferences and click on it.
  3. Next Calling and Devices on the right and set the Microphone and Speakers to the computer Audio Card.
  4. Next go to the Test Audio section and (in blue writing) click on “Open the call setup assistant” and follow the instructions on the left window.

I cannot find any place to get drivers for the mikomi webcams. All I could find is a manufacturer's phone number: 08456 403030.

Mikomi Webcams are made by Argos http://www.argos.co.uk

You may just have to contact them for help.
