Hi Jassi,
Go to Start/Run and type :
reg.exe add "HKCR\Drive\shell" /ve /d "none" /f
then type:
regsvr32 shell32.dll
Press Enter

and if you have a antispyware installed on your system then scan with it and check for any virus infection.

How do I get my dvd/cd to start when I put it in my computer?

You can go to file explorer or file manager and click on the drive letter of your CD/DVD which is usually like a Drive D:, E: or later drive letter.

Once you click on the right driver letter in file explorer it's going to try to read it. It will then open up the files on the CD/DVD or try to start the application you may have installed for reading a CD/DVD.

If you don't have an application installed to view the CD/DVD it may give you a message that "Windows could not find a suitable application to open your file.." but it will ask to pick which application you'd like to try and open the CD/DVD with. Something like media player should show in the list if you have it installed.

Are you getting an internet connection

It might be your firewall settings or your antivirus settings not allowing downloads

Click on "Start" in the lower left-hand portion of your desktop screen.

Select Control Panel and then Security Center to open the Windows Security Center.

Navigate to the bottom of the form and click the "Windows Firewall" link.

Select one of the two radio buttons as desired on the Windows Firewall form that opens.

The "On" radio button is the recommended choice.

Click the "OK" button at the bottom of form.

Close the Windows Security Center window and close the Control Panel window.

Hope this helps

Install unsuccessful, It may due to incomplete install or other application open. please help.

Hi, Did you reformat and install OS to your computer? Installation unsuccessful. If so it is a hard drive problem. Retry to install the operating system again and see if you are getting errors or blue screen. What kind of software application are you installing? Please get back to us if this information helps you solve the problem.
