Question about Canon PIXMA MP210 Photo All-In-One Printer

1 Answer

I don't know what sort of print head I have

I'm trying to buy compatable ink for a cannon pixma MP210 and I dont know what a peach printhead is! I could really do with buying a larger size ink cartridge but on the cartridge peoples website the bigger 40 and 41 compatables say that they are only for peach printheads. What are they and how do I know if I have them?
Sorry if this problem is obvious but I dont see how!
thanks Janette

You can try to disassemble the printhead and check for contamination.
First remove cap 1

than using a small flat screwdriver disassemble printhead (engagement points 2 and 3)

Warning - a printhead is filled with 8 ml ink

After disassembly - clean the printhead with fluid compatible with pigment ink (for black color) or compatible with water based ink (color printheads)

during reassembly - don't forget to fill the printhead with ink (2/3 of its volume)

Summary

Usage of compatible ink and leave the printer idle too long may cause printhead clogging
What should you do if you get this problem. Relax; you may recover the printhead by unclogging it. Follow these steps to unclog the printhead

1. Right click in the printer driver name
2. Select Properties menu
3. Click Maintenance tab
4. Click on cleaning sign for regular cleaning. Perform this up to 3 times.
5. If this does not work, perform Deep Cleaning

And if that not work

Some times it needs a good clean up but this is up to you if you want to do this,
But after you done this prime the printer so it gets the inks back in the heads, it may take a little time for the inks to work.

Ok.

There is fluid cleaner for this but I can never find any in the shops the only ones I seen is when they sell them in Tesco but they come in with the ink refill bottles so I just use worm water by it self on a cloth and dabbing on the heads to clean them, it will not harm the heads but not to much water.

Some heads are on the inks them self but some have them inside the printer so I not know your printer so if the heads are inside you need to get them out you may find that some heads will just clip out put some need to be unscrewed so you got to know how they come out so be careful and not push to hard on them, if the heads are on the ink then it is a easy job to clean them,
It worth a try it worked for me more than ones.

Please all I ask is call back and just gave a vote, it will gave me some satisfaction to know am helping some one, so I will keep on helping.

I need to know where on the Cannon is the ink absorber?

If you've used the printer for any amount of time it's the black nasty lump of ink in the bottom of the tray under where the print head parks. The name makes you think it'll be a sponge of some sort, but it's actually little more than a square of cardboard at the bottom of a well that the dripping ink can adhere to rather than running freely out of the printer should you tip it upright.

I dont know why but suddenly my printer cant print

You could buy a new printhead, but the problem could be in the purge assembly. If the printhead doesn't clean and prime you get blank prints. also if you leave the tape on the top of the cartridge covering the vent hole no ink can come out.

What is a peach print head for the cannon pixma 210 and how do I know if I have one? I'm just trying to buy more ink cartridges

Peach manufacture a replacment print head into which you can snap a replacement peach cartridge, so you do not throw away the print head each time, eco eh! (but more importantly, cheaper too) If you dont know if you have one, then you certainly dont have one. buy the kit that included the new print head and two fill ups,, NOT just the fill ups.
