When you say ip/config you mean wifi properties and internet protocol properties right ?
if so select obtain ip address auto and select obtain dns auto.
if thats not what you mean...goto control panel ..open network connections...click on ur network connection ...in the list at left select change settings for this connection...in network properties scroll to internet protocol..double click to open..select obtain ip auto and obtain dns auto.
there are other ways to fill in fields but you need relevant info..
there are programs which can show u ip's but most require a special driver.
incidently if you choose ip and dns auto you will not see ip address but when connecting to network you will see aquiring ip address please wait.
if for some reason you still cant connect go to a place where you know have free internet access and connect there then net connection will be configured

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

My hp pavilion dv4000 has a conflict with ip addresses and it cannot connect to the my linksys wireless network, it keep trying to acquire the network address but it never connects. please help me it has...

An IP confict means that another computer has the IP that your laptop is trying to attain.
Open a command prompt by going to start>run
Type cmd in the box and then click ok.
In the box that opens up type:
ipconfig /release
it will come back with zero.
then type;
ipconfig /renew
It should pick up a new address.
If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it.
Thanks, Joe

Wireless network is not connect to local network

I am bit confused with your query.  Its not possible to connnect wireless with local network.  Or what you can do is use wireless router so that ur laptop detects the service and you can access internet.

Problem with Fast Ethernet NIC and Broadcom WLAN adapter

you need to dissable dhcp in the router and manually assign ip address as dhcp automatically changes your pc's ip address, for example if your router ip address is 192.168.0.1, then you go online with your notebook first it will get 192.168.0.2, then the next pc online will get 192.168.0.3, if you go online with the pc first it will get the 192.168.0.2 instead

HP Pavilion dv1000 PC Notebook Audio Problem

There are two different audio cards shipped with Pavilion DV1000 series Notebooks.

If your Notebooks belong to DV1600 series, your Notebook should have been shipped with Conexant High Definition Audio card.

This can be one of the reason why you are unable to install the Conexant AC Link audio drivers in your Notebooks.

You need to install Microsoft UAA Drivers first before installing the Conexant High Definition Audio Drivers in the Notebook.

Download the Microsoft Universal Audio Architecture(UAA) Drivers for your Notebook from the HP link below :

ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp32501-33000/sp32646.exe

Please save the file in the Notebook and double click it after the download completes to install the drivers. Restart the Computer once the installation of the Microsoft UAA Drivers is completed.

Now download the Conexant High Definition audio drivers from the link below :

ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp32501-33000/sp32864.exe

Save the file and double click on it once it is saved to install the Drivers.

This should solve the issue with audio in your Notebooks.

Hope this helps...
