Question about HP Photosmart E317 Digital Camera
1)the power button on the camera is faulty..
2)the battery sensor is corrupted..
3)fault on the main board..
it could be pin pointed only when seen in live.
i would recommend to take it to the service centre..

If the memory card you are using is an SDHC designated card, your camera is probably not compatible with it. SDHC cards are usually 4gb and larger. Check the card for the SDHC label.

YOU WILL HAVE TO FORMAT THE NEW CARD AND RESET YOUR CAMERA TO FACTORY SETTINGS.
If you BING the m517 it will give you all the specs. you need.
If you go to hp.com on the first page look for trouble shooting a product. Type in you m517 and you will get all the required info.

Take your card out ... there is a white knobby thing on one of the sides of the card. Make sure it is flipped up (up is unlock, down is locked) ... should help you. This just happened to me - it took me awhile to figure it out! Good luck.
