Subwoofer/speakers are hooked up to my amp but making bad noise

Ok I have a kicker subwoofer and I'm not sure what kind of speakers or amp I have, but when we connected the sub up first everything worked fine, then we started adding speakers to the amp but when we turned it on both the sub and speakers make this awful screeching noise. What is wrong? Did we blow the ground wire? Please help!!!!

When i turn my two 12" kicker l7 up they cut out

You could be having an amp overload condition. Make sure your speaker impedance matches the amp specification. Esp if you have bridged the Amp the impedance should be at least 4 Ohms and not below. When you connect two 4 Ohms speaker in parallel the total impedance becomes 2 Ohms !!!.

How do i wire two kicker l5's already in a box

if you have an amp then you hook it up normal... left side + from amp to + to speaker... - from amp to - to speaker, and same for other speaker....

if no amp then i'm not sure your radio will push that big of speakers, but you would hook them up normal.... hope this helps.....

Does not want to work

to make sure it's the subwoofer at fault and not the amp, speaker wire, rca's, radio, power, or ground wiring, you should, if possible, hook up a known good subwoofer to see if it works properly. if it doesnt, check fuses, grounds, the remote amp turn on wiring, etc. it could even be something as simple as a setting on the stereo itself. if the substitute subwoofer does work properly, double check to be sure the original sub is wired correctly. if it is, i'm afraid you've got a faulty/bad subwoofer. I hope this helps and good luck!

Amp 4 a Kicker S17L7

just make sure your kenwood amp can at least handle a 2ohm stereo load. Most amps now are able to .Your amps manual should list this or go online and check for that model .You basically have 2 subs in one allowing you to use one sub box in stereo mode. And just hook it up like two speakers left and right ..make sure amp has a crossover so that you only get bass at your woofer

Amp goes into protection

make sure the impedance is right for the amp you're using. If you're using a 4ohm amp and a 2ohm sud that may be the problem. It may be overdriving the amplifer which is bad and can cause damage to the amp. Hope this helps.

Subwoofers not bumpin, amp is still on

Check to make sure there is a good input to the amp. Next check each sub to another source to make sure they are good. Look for any reset on the amp.

Need help bridging

First check your gain it may be turned down. I personally dont bridge speakers. I put each speaker to its own channel on the amp.Make sure positive to positive and negative to negative. Try hookin up two speakers to the amp (not bridged) and turn your gain up around half way. Make sure you amp is switch to lowpass not high since most amps have crossovers built in now. The more speakers you have the less output from each speaker from one amp youll get.
