Vista protiction 2010 keeps shutting my pc internet off wanting me to buy it

It sounds like you have a virus. To be specific, "Vista Protection 2010" sounds suspiciously like a class of viruses called "rogue AV", which lock down your system and harass you into giving them your credit card number. Often, once you do, the program will not stop doing what it does. They will tell you your computer is full of viruses and stop you from running programs.

To get rid of it, boot into safe mode by rebooting your PC and holding down F8 as soon as it starts to boot. Select safe mode (or safe mode with networking). Disable the virus starting up with the computer:
  1. Hold down windows+R
  2. Type "msconfig" and press enter
  3. Select the startup tab
  4. Look for entries with truly nonsensical names like geiuwyzi.exe and 80221919. Also look for "av.exe" and anything with the same name as the virus. Disable each one using the checkbox beside it.
  5. Reboot your computer. The virus should not be visible.
  6. Run at least one antivirus program. I personally recommend MalwareBytes and ClamAV (you don't want to know how many of these I see where the poor user has relied upon AVG or Avast). Run a full scan - as the virus is not currently running, a quick scan may not detect it.
That should do you.

Sony vaio av mode button is stuck

You may disable the AV Mode feature from the VAIO Control Center Application.
The VAIO Control Center Application will be shipped with all the VAIO Computers which have the Windows Vista or 7 Operating Systems.
You may disable the AV Mode feature from this Application.
You may also disable much more features such as the Touchpad, Special keys(S1 and S2) etc, by using the VAIO Control Center.
Hope this helps.

Vista RAM usage ?

The minimum recommended ram for Vista is 1 GB, generally accepted practical minimum is 2 GB. A 1 GB system will be kinda laggy. Maximum RAM for 32 bit Vista is 4 GB.

Vista Home Premium is roughly equivalent to Windows XP Media Center Edition (Has Media Center, cann't be put on a DOMAIN type network)

Vista Business is roughly equivalent to Windows XP Professional (Can Join a Domain, Doesn't have Media Center)

Vista Ultimate has all available freatures of Vista, you can do any windows function with Ultimate

My computer won't let me log in.

I) if i understand ur problem you must have forgotten your password, in such case go into safe mode by pressing F8 button continuously when you start system  and from there go to user accounts and delete that account or ur account and create account and do remember ur password and all this possible incase ur OS is Windows XP and is not possible in case of Vista, ultimately incase of Vista you have reload Vista or Format Vista or load the OS Freshly...(you can recover forgotten passwrod in Vista)

ii) otherwise try installing or reloading new OS or load the OS Freshly.....

Hello. I am running vista home ultimate 64bit. Manually I am unable to create a restore point. Error message 0x8004230F unexpected error for shadow copy provider. I have check in the computer management...

Sometimes, Windows Vista Ultimate 64bit will not allow to create a restore point as it is self scheduled to create its own restore system restore points.

To over-come this: turn the system off, press the on button and keep pressing the F8 button to get into Safe Mode. Once you are in Safe Mode, go to the System Restore and then create a Restore Point. Once you have done this, shut down and restart the system, you will then see your restore point that you have created.

Hope this helps

Every time i restart my computer on the black boot screen it gives me an option to start windows vista or enter windows vista setup i recently tried to upgrade to vista ultimate and it didnt work now its...

Do you have any important files that you want to keep?

If so, when the boot screen comes up, select to start windows vista and press F8. choose "Safe Mode". copy all of your files to a flash drive or burn them to a disk.

If not, insert your vista DVD and have your BIOS boot from it.
then it will ask you to do an upgrade or clean install; do a clean install.

Do not interrupt the installation until it finishes.
If you made any backups, now is the time to copy them to your computer.

Win vista problem with ares ultra

If I can decipher what you mean, it sounds like you're using Windows Vista Ultimate, and it is reverting to Reduced Functionality Mode. This means the installation of Windows Vista that you're running failed to pass validation with Microsoft. Please see this page for Microsoft's steps to remedy this issue.
