Dave, the PS3 is not a great computer platform. I've never had it work "correctly" trying to connect to Face Book from the PS3.

Maybe these words will help: "Please be advised: in order for Custom Firmware Validator to work properly Microsoft .NET Framework 4 at least ver. 4.0 is required. the program works on windows 7 - was not tested on XP, Vista or 8 (Developers/Consumers Preview)."
You might need to upgrade... something,,, in order it to function.

I thought playstations are all formated to play any made of equal or lesser p.s. value such as p.s.3. should play p.s.2. games

I believe you're asking about backwards compatibility. While I agree a PS3 should be able to play PS2 games, it's sadly not always the case. While they all can play PS1 games, not every PS3 can play PS2 games. PS2 compatibility depends on the model.

Backwards compatibility with PS2 games has slowly been phased out. The original PS3's had hardware emulation (quite literally there is a PS2 inside of your PS3). The later revisions had software emulation only (PS3 processor pretends to be the PS2 processor), and then none at all. No slim PS3 has backwards compatibility.

Hardware emulation:
20 GB PS3 Fat/Original - Model CECHB01
60 GB PS3 Fat/Original - Model CECHA01

Software emulation:
80 GB PS3 Fat/Original - Model CECHE01

In my personal experience, there's no real difference between software and hardware emulation in terms of actual game play. Software emulation has a few hang-ups on some older games, but overall it works pretty well. And it's infinitely better than not having any ability to play PS2 games at all.

Hope that helps!

Down free god of war 3 on pc

No version of GOW has been released for the PC.
The only thing you can do is try to find a PS3 emulator for the PC and try to run it on the emulator.
I haven't had much luck with PS3 emulators but maybe you can make one work.

Good luck!

Can we play play station games on our pc computer without remort controller?

Hi,

You will need the controller to play PS games on the PC.

As well as that you will need a PS emulator and drivers + a patch to make the PS controller work. The only PS controler that will work is a USB PS3 controller.

If you use a standard USB game pad you find that you can't play the games properly.

You can get an emulator by clicking on the link below >>>>>>

Hey i can't play my ps2 games on ps3 60gb what's wrong?

The 80 gig Sony PS3 supports PS2 gamesthrough software emulation.
The success of this emulation was poor at first, but Sony has improved it with several generations of firmware upgrades.
If you are experiencing difficulties with PS2 emulation, it is recommended that you upgrade to the latest firmware.
The 60GB PAL model also utilizes software emulation

Also some games may not currently be supported, check here:

Hope I could help with your problem

This solution may not have worked if I hadn't done all my PC updates the previous day, so I must remember to do my updates and security checks.

How do i get ps2 games to play on my ps3

The only way how to play PS2 games on PS3 is to have the correct version of the console. Either your Playstation 3 can play PS and PS2 games or it can't, and there's not much to do about it. Most of the PS3 models simply cannot play older titles as they lack the necessary hardware and firmware. However, a few models do have backwards compatibility. The 20 Gb, 60 Gb, and original 80 Gb models all have backwards compatibility, either through hardware or software emulation. The other models lack backwards compatibility, so even knowing how to play PS2 games on PS3 won't help you out much here.

Ape Escape was designed to be used with the Dual Shock 1, therefore the game might not emulate correctly with the PS3's pad.
