Toshiba Satellite P105-S6207 Number keypad will not function

Number keypad functions during boot-up (allows me to enter password); stops functioning when boot-up is complete. Have tried Num lock, F10, F11 switches, yada, yada..... no good.

Any ideas?

Cannot boot up after accidentally erased some files in my registry.

If you know which files you deleted you can use another functioning computer to download them on the internet and then get a boot CD or boot USB drive and then edit and correct the registry entries. Use Hiren's Boot CD (or again, USB if necessary).

For some models, however -- including those listed above -- booting from the Recovery disc requires pressing the F12 key, rather than the 'C' key. The instructions below are correct for these models.
CAUTION: The Recovery process reformats the computer's hard disk drive, which completely erases its contents -- including all applications, all documents, and all other data stored on the drive. Be sure to back up your documents and other data before following the instructions below.
Follow these steps to erase the current contents of the hard disk drive and to re-install all of the software that was installed on the computer when it was manufactured:
1. With the computer on, insert the first Recovery disc into the optical drive.
2. Shut down the computer (click the Start button, click Shut Down, select Shut Down, click OK).
3. Press the computer's power button to turn the computer on, and then immediately press and hold the F12 key. Release the F12 key when the menu of boot options appears.
4. Use the arrow keys to navigate to the CD/DVD option. Press the Enter key to select it.
The computer will restart, and will boot from the Recovery disc.
5. Follow the instructions on the screen to start the Recovery process.
CAUTION: Once the Recovery process has begun, do not interrupt it.

The computer's hard drive will be formatted, erasing its contents. All of the software that was installed on the computer when it was manufactured will then be re-installed.
6. Once the Recovery process is complete, remove the Recovery disc, and press any key to restart the computer.

Booting problems with my Toshiba Satellite P105

Try to reinstall the video driver from Safe mode.
It appears your hard disk is OK but the operating system and or registry is corrupted.
1. Try installing the video driver first.
2. If it still does not work, back up your data files in Safe Mode then re-install XP again, make sure you delete the partition and create a new partition and do a full NTFS format, not a quick format.
