Look at your manual, usually available on net for reading or downloading. Blink lights are often used to code out a problem with various combinations and repetition rates to indicate trouble code number for look-up in manual.

The blinking "clean light" is a common problem with some of the Kenmore and Whirlpool models dishwashers. The problem is usually attributed to water supply temperatures being too low when filling. Apparently, there are some issues with the temperature sensing circuits in some dishwashers that causes an error code to be generated if a certain water temperature is not achieved in a specified time interval (this time may differ between models). There is a reset sequence that you can try to clear the fault. Push the NORMAL WASH then HEATED DRY buttons in that sequence two to three times. The unit will enter diagnostics mode, but can be stopped by pressing the CANCEL button. This will clear any existing faults and should return the dishwasher to normal operation.

To keep the fault from returning, it is recommended that you run your hot water faucet in the kitchen until it runs hot BEFORE you start the dishwasher. This will heat the water in the supply line for the dishwasher (most dishwashers are fed from the kitchen sink supply line). The theory is that if you fill the dishwasher with hot water from the start of the wash cycle instead of the cool water that is normally in the lines (especially if you have a hot water tank located far away from the kitchen), this should satisfy the requirements of the temperature sensing circuits. If the fault reappears, there should be a tech sheet located inside the lower panel under the door that explains what the fault is. The flashing light will be a series of flashes, followed by a pause. If you indeed have a component problem, it will depend on the number of flashing lights in the sequence. Refer to the tech sheet to determine WHAT component is affected and how to troubleshoot.

Dishwasher code F4E1

The F4E1 is a code that signifies a WASH MOTOR issue. Specifically, no Communication. This is usually caused by:
A loose connection in Wash Motor Circuit, Motor Communication Circuit and/or an open wash motor.
1. Unplug dishwasher or disconnect power.
2. Check all connections in Wash/Rinse Circuit and Motor Communications Circuit. Fix/replace an open connection/part. Motor fuse on control open.

Using keypad press "Heated Dry", "Normal Wash", Heated Dry", Normal Wash, and the "cancel button" to reset.
Start a cycle and listen for 2 relay contact clicks at the start of interval to confirm both the pilot and motor relays are turning on.
These relays provide power to the motor, but the motor does not start until it receives a start command later in the cycle). If hear only 1 or zero clicks and wash motor does not come on later in service cycle, and there were no loose wire communication wire connection when checked above, then unplug dishwasher or disconnect power and replace control.

CODE F4E1 will not go away

This error means that the controller cannot communicate with the motor. It is possible that something came loose when you replaced the clamp. Recheck all the connections .

Kenmore elite dishwasher has an error code f4e1

I had the F4E1 code on my Kenmore Elite 665x. This means a water leak. I eventually pulled the machine from the cabinet and noticed some water beneath the machine and the water pump hose loose. I reattached the pump hose using a new hose clamp and zip tied the pump in place to keep it from happening again. Afterwards I had to reset the machine by pushing the smart wash pots and pan then normal wash in sequential order 3 times then shut the door. The machine then does a diagnostic test. After the test I pushed the cancel button and it was ready to go.
Hope this helps someone else!

Kenmoore dishwasher elite model 66516462300 has no power

There is a thermal fuse inside the door, attached to the controller. But if that part is good, then you may have a fried controller.
