Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

SOURCE: cmos battery is dead

round metal watch style battery on the motherboard about the size of a quarter... walmart would probably have them in the watch dept.

careful removing the battery so you don't break the clip that holds it in.

SOURCE: i have an emachine w4630

I do believe you may have to partially disassemble to get at battery. I have found the manual on line that you can download at the below address:
http://www.manualnguide.com/dl/9176/

the manual shows you where battery is located and how to change it.
took a bit to find, please be so kind as to take the time to rate this answer. good luck and thanks

Your CMOS battery may be dead. That is the watch style battery on your motherboard. Choose f2. If the problem persists, change the battery

I need to replace the cmos battery on my dell inspirion 1000. I know where it goes, I just need a replacement. do you happen to know the battery number. Thanks

Hi rsulsr, the #number of the CMOS battery should be written on the top of the battery. Write down the part / model number and you be able to replace it. Thanks for using Fix' Ya. If this helped, please let me know by giving a "Helpful Rating;" thanks again.

You have to replace the battery with CR2032 no , its a default model for all laptops BIOS battery, kindly check the number in the old battery to fix it exactly. you can find the battery in the bottom of the laptop, its has some opennings locked by screws if you open that you can see it , the battery will be like this onlyc859cb6.gif

Why won't new PNY DDR memory work in eMachines W4630?

Read your manual, as there website does not offer it just driver downloads.
Also, just because it is the same kind does not mean it will work.
That is why most MFG of motherboards have a quality vendor list
for memory. There are thousands of people who can't get some mfg's memory to work with there systems when the specs are the same.
But I would go with what Ultim said and there might be a slot limit.
