Question about Audio Players & Recorders

2 Answers

I have a skyscan atomic clock, model 88900. I've absoltely LOVED it until the outside temperature quit being displayed. I have changed the batteries 2x's according to the instructions and have used NEW batteries each time but nothing. Any assistance is appreciated as I live in the NE US & rely on the outside temp to regulate my pets outdoor safety environment. Thank you.

This is a very common problem that is most frequently caused by the outdoor transmitter going bad. They are surprisingly delicate and don't like getting wet.

You can order replacement transmitters from http://skyscan.info/content/

They only cost $11 and that includes shipping and handling.

I am having trouble setting my skyscan atomic clock i took the battiers out and need to reset the whole clock. The modle number is 88900-8901

taking the batterys out and leaving them out for 60 seconds or more will in effect reset the clock. Put the new batteries in and wait for the skyscan to detect the outside temperature (if this unit has a outside sender). after this show on the screen push the button that corresponds to your time zone. You can now set the clock with the push buttons or take the clock to a wall that faceing? ( you don't say where you are located), the WMV signalyou need to set the clockto is coming from Colorado USA ( if your in the us) so make sure the back of the clock is facing toward colorado. let the clock sit overnight as the best signal will be recieved when its dark and especially in the very early morning, just before sunrise. this should automatically set the clock for you. good luck

Skyscan digital wall clock just quit showing outside temperature

you probably need to 'pair' the outdoor sensor with the main base: look for a 'channel' button, as these units usually can get information from several sensors and differentiate them by a channel number.

My clock is nort showing up the outside tempertute

Seems to be a consistent problem with Skyscan. I have the 88800 model and my outdoor transmitter isn't transmitting the temperature either. We've replaced the batteries in both the transmitter and clock and nothing for outdoor temp. It's only been used for 9 months.
