Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

SOURCE: not receiving information

The same thing happened to me, and I'm just hitting the two-year mark with this thing. I tested it using the aux speaker leads and that still works. So it is only the little front-panel speaker that is broken. And I checked the leads on that little speaker, and they seem fine. So it is the little speaker itself that broke. Easiest repair is to connect the aux leads (red and brown) to another speaker.

What size supply fuse

I = P/E Current = power/voltage
Therefore 25 watts of power divided by 12 volts if that is the battery voltage, equals about 2 amps. You should try a 3 or 4 amp fuse..

Hi,

Sounds familiar, but there is a solution here: join yahoo group SPECIFIC to your radio Make/Model, you will receive expert advice and you can download manuals, diagrams and software.

I Know, I am a member of another radio group there.

The VHF radio receives but will not transmit more than a coulpe hundred feet. I tryed new anntena and coaxe but it didn't help. 12.4 volts going into the radio. Any ideas would be great Thanks Scott

Check the connector on the back of the radio and make sure it is a solder type connector. The connectors that are twisted together never work well. The shield of the coax needs to be soldered to the outside of the connector and the inner portion needs to be soldered to the center.

There also could be a problem with the radio so if that doesn't work I would recommend taking it to a marine electronics dealer for them to test the radio.

Raymarine Ray 240 usa model

You cannot just reprogram your Raymarine to european standard.

This radio has been built and is licenced for using with USA frequency, in Europe his use will be limited to lower bands with no modification.

To be fully adapted to higher bands, the radio must be taken apart, and you need to bridge a contact on the main board.

The use of the radio after modifacion won't be legal in Europe.

I have a Raymarine VHF marine radio but cannot get channel 37 - why not?

Hi,

To my knowledge, Ch 37 (M1) is used by the UK Marinas and Yacht Clubs, however, the Raymarine Ray45VHF uses the US VHF Marine Radio Channels allocations/standard where there is no Ch 37 (actually no Chs 29-59).

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.

Thank you for using FixYa
