Ok the very first thing what u have to do is that turn off the computer completely shut down the computer and then disconnect the ac adaptor and take the baattery out of the computer and then press and hold down the power button for one minute without battery and the ac adaptor and then try and turn on the computer and then what u need t do is that just press the power button and the keep tapping f8 key on the keyboard and then select safe mode with networking and then log into the computer and if u r able to connect to internet then open www.gur.in and then click on the download tab on the left hand side and then under frequent files run malware bytes and run smit fraud fix and run combo fix and restart the computer........good luck..

I have a virus on my computer which has blocked me from going on any files to remove it. It constantly pops up. I have no cd as i misplaced it. Soo any help how to reboot my laptop with a disc would be...

Contact ASUS, and order a replacement "System Recovery" set of CDs. Then, use those CDs to reinstall the Operating System.

If your PC has a USB port, copy all your data files from your computer to a USB memory-stick, before reinstalling the Operating System.

Privacy centre say's laptop full of viruses??

This will remove your viruses but theres a couple of things you can try before this.
Download Malwarebytes Anti-malware from here its free
http://download.cnet.com/Malwarebytes-Anti-Malware/3000-8022_4-10804572.html?part=dl-10804572&subj=dl&tag=button
install and run a full scan to remove any spyware installed.
If you dont already an Anti-virus download and install AVG which is a free one let it update and run a full scan on this aswell.

Hope this helps

Need help to reboot computer

Do you have the Recovery disk that came with your computer? If so you want to place the recovery disk in the drive, power down the computer, power it back up, holding the F12 key down so you can boot from your DVD. Go through the recovery process for the Operating System, and this should get you around the virus.

Pc recovery not working

Update your Anti Virus definitions to current, then reboot your PC into Safe Mode (tapping F8 on boot will give you the boot option screen, choose "Save Mode"), then choose your Operating System and click "Yes" to the pop up, then once at your desktop click Start, All programs and open your Anti Virus and run a Complete/Thorough scan to completion and hopefully it will detect and repair the Virus damage. Then reboot Normally and your system may be repaired.
Good luck!

I do not keep ComboFix available for download on InfernalLogic.com any longer. I refer people to bleeping computer.com.

Rebooting

the system recovery is not build into most of the computers out there, some, a few computers have this function integrated into the operateing system.

in your case you will need to use the windows setup cd or the recovery cds that came with the laptop.

Rebooting

To get rid of the virus and set it back "just as you bought it", reformat the hard drive and install a new operating system with your recovery or operating system disc. If you use the built in quick recovery system, the virus will remain, and continue to cause damage to the system.

Unable to reboot from recovery disc

if yo want to load the recovery disc, you need to find a way to open your cd drive and place the recovery disc in there. then turn the computer off, leave it for 5 seconds, turn it on again, press F8 continuously and choose 'boot from cd'. follow the instructions on screen. if this still does not work, you may need to upgrade ram, or you have bad sectors on your harddrive that has been caused by corrupt programs or viruses. Hope this helped.
