SOURCE: i changed my dlink dir-300 router's ip address

Yes, resetting it will revert it back to factory settings (and therefore original IP address). Sometimes it is best to start over when something like this happens. ;)

Remember though, if you are configuring your router with a wireless connection you need to disconnect/reconnect to you wireless network (because you just changed it's address).

SOURCE: Hello, I have a d link dir 600 and everytime I

Check if you have an other device on the network that has DHCP server enabled, (if not sure) do the following test... power down every device connected to your network (printers, print servers, Access points, switchs, internet modem, etc...) leave only the router and the computer connected, than reproduce the condition (cut of connection) see if the problem is still there, if not than plug back every device ONE AT A TIME than reproduce the condition each time you connect something untill you find which device is giving out IPs... if you find the problematic device, go in setup and desable DHCP, if it still does the problem only with the computer and the router connected than reset the router to factory default, if you still have the problem after that than replace the router...

Cheers!

If you can login, either your browser has stored the login settings or the DIR-600 still has the default settings. Change them to something more secure!

How to reset D-Link DIR-600 router

Reset what? Back to factory defaults? Did you install 3rd party firmware? You have to go into the setup using a browser like Firefox or IE, type the router's IP address into the browser address bar (192.168.1.100, or something like that, it may be printed on the router itself) and then go through all the menu selections to find what you need to do.
Or, some router have a reset button that you press directly or with a small wire (paperclip) in a hole.

I can't setup my D-link DIR-600 router to allow remote desktop access to a Win-based PC on my LAN.

Try to assign a static IP address to each of your computers on the network. Its better to start at 192.168.1.151, 152 and 153 so on. These numbers are beyond normal dynamic IP Addresses! Then identify each computer with their IP Address then log on remote with their IP addresses! as administrator!
good luck!

All D-Link Dir configuration done but I can't access internet, why is that?

Reset your router back to it's factory settings by holding the reset button for about 5 seconds.
I have provided a list of the most popular router brands. If it does not work you may need to
google what your specific model's default IP address/default username/default passwords are, for
example search for "Encore ENHWI-2AN3 default IP address" The default login info can change, it
can depend on where you obtained your router. If you purchased it yourself from a store then the
standard defaults should work. If you obtained your router from your Internet Provider you may
need to contact your service provider. It also may depend whether it's an old or new model router
as well. And you may need to press and hold the reset button on your router several times before
it actually clears. Make sure you have a wired connection then once you have accessed your router simply run the Setup Wizard. Set your SSID as something you'll remember like "Mavericks Network" and your Password can be something like your phone number for example 3109876543

I have a DIR-600 router to connect my Cable modem and use wireless connection to connect to the internet. It was all working fine till my modem LAN port got damaged somehow.I have changed the modem and now...

Try following this order before you connect your computer to the router.
power off all your equipment (cable modem & router & your computer's wireless card)
first, power on the cable modem, give it some time to boot up and get an IP from the ISP, say 30 secs.
then, power on the router, again, give it some time to boot and obtain its internet IP from the cable modem
finally, enable wireless on you computer and connect to the router.

if this doesn't solve the problem try resetting the router to factory defaults by pressing the reset button at its back for about 10 seconds with the router powered on.

This your router's manual it may turn handy:

good luck

I have conected d link dir 600 router to my computer and was workting but after changing my residence the router is not supporing and i have lost the cd which was given and know how do i connect

you don't need there setup disk for this but it is usually much simpler thru there software

with your system hard wired directly into the router open a command prompt (assuming windows OS here) and type ipconfig then hit enter. the ip your system has will be displayed looking like this::
connection specific dns suffix:
IP address...........................: 192.168.0.? (? doesnt matter but it is your machines IP)
subnet mask........................: 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway...................:192.168.0.?.. this is usually".1" so I will use that as my example

so now open a browser(internet explorer or firefox) and type in the address bar "http://192.168.1.1
this will then prompt you for a password (this should have been changed when you first set it up) if not it is the default for that router can be found here::http://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/DIR-600
you can look at the status page to determine what is and isn't connected
