Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

SOURCE: How do I reset my Gateway LT20 Netbook

Very simple! You need to go into Cmos for the setup which is usualy F2 on boot. Once in the setup you go to the end page whwere it asks you if you want to restore factory defaults. Simply click on it then press save and exit. If F2 does not work on the boot to access Cmos setup then look at the screen as it starts to boot and it will usualy tell you what function key is for setup. Good luck Phil

I am having a problem with my Gateway NE Series NES6R41u and having a problem Restoring it.

As it is the same as Acer models (Acer own Gateway, PB & e-machines) and i am assuming it has win 8 installed, look in the programs and look for Acer recovery manager then you will have the option to recover without destroying data or a factory reset...Or you can contact Gateway support for more advise.

CMOS location in gateway model # 6332

The CMOS battery on the Gateway M-6332 is located either next to or underneath the WiFi card. With the laptop upside down, loosen the three screws along the rear edge of the panel next to the fromt of the laptop. Remove the panel and you'll see the hard drive and the WiFi card. There will be one or two Mini PCI Express slots. I've replaced the mainboard in this one, don't recall if the original only had one slot, the one I installed has two.

That's where the CMOS battery is, held to the board with a piece of double sided tape and connected by a pair of wires to a small plug.
