HOW DO I TYPE NAMES OF CD OR DVD ?

You can't add a title to a disc from a player (such as this). You can only add a title on a disc writer before finishing the disc. (The only exception is RW (rewritable) disc which can be unfinished.) If a title (disc, chapter or track) is on the disc you can display it. Press Title on the remote. If you want to read all of the information on any disc, insert the disc and press Load on the player (when in Stop mode) or press the TV/DiscExplorer/DVD button to set the unit in Disc Explorer mode. It takes about 30 seconds to load the data. Press Stop to cancel the data search. Then use the folder buttons (ALL,DVD,CD,A,B,C,D) on the remote or the player to read the various items. Press Return to leave the folders. If you enter the Disc Explorer while playing a disc, the playback will stop and you will have to press Play to restart (Resume is not an available option).

Once loaded the player will store the data even after you remove the disc. It will clear when a new disc is inserted or you press Load.

The manual for this unit is available at: http://esupport.sony.com/US/perl/model-documents.pl?mdl=DVPCX850D .

I hope this helps.

Have a Toshiba SD 220-E dvd p-layer & a dvd in it saying 'play restricted' can we unlock code ?

hi! i hope this code will help you unlock the region code of your dvd.

Put DVD into player - wait for regional code violation screen to appear. Once this
happens press the M (Memory) button on your remote control. Then press 1 for
Title 1 and press play on the remote. This will over-ride the regional code
violation detection menu and you can watch the movie etc by entering the fwd on
the remote control and change chapters etc by using the T (Title/Chapter) button
on the remote control)

My ch-dvd 300

ok, the T stands for Title, the C for chapters, look on your remote for a button that says DISPLAY (or possibly RECALL) and press it until the display disappears. you may have to press it a few times. this may not work, but give it a go

I have a dvd recorder/player Rca DRC8052N

you need the crack ! it seems that your players might have a onboard misfonction! it maybe coded for region 2,3 who knoes anyway try this its a workaround that usually works on lots of dvd players to unlock regions !

Press the title button on your remote, then hit 01. This will take you to the first title on the disc and bypass the region lock. To get to the main menu, do a chapter/title skip until you get to the end of the disc. This will take you to the main menu.

I found this for other Toshiba SD dvd players, yours was not listed but might be worth a go.
