I have a Verbatim 2GB Store-n-Go Flash drive that I use to store documents. It no longer is recognized when I plug it into the hub. Is there a fix? Can data be recovered?

Its a 2GB flash drive that says it can only hold 2.93MB and there is nothing on it.

First try formating the flash drive. If it gives you errors or still only has that small amount, run the following program, this will be the best flash drive formatter I have found.: http://www.sdcard.org/consumers/formatter_3/

It has password protection. Open My Computer on your PC, insert the USB drive, open the password file, enter your password, then select the option to remove password protection from the USB drive. If this does not work, contact Verbatim for a solution, these USB flash drives have lifetime warranties.

My laptop does not recognize my verbatim 8gb flash drive

click start control panel administrative tools computer management device manager scroll down universal serial bus controllers you could see a yellow question / exclamation mark? ! or a red X

you will need to update/reinstall drivers

right click to reinstall drivers

if you can see your usb drive but its not working

ports (com&lpt) right click update driver if this fails to fix the problem

check the USB leads that attach to the motherboard usually red white green black make sure they are securely seated and have no dust build up on them dust will cause static and a lot of unforeseen problems for a computer and its parts

if you need more help with this post a reply

hope this helps you
