The ice maker uses a internal thermostat that starts the cycle of dropping the ice and refilling with tap water. If your water control valve works filling the ice maker then the problem is the ice maker itself that will need replaced. Unfortuantly the ice maker you have has no rebuildable parts and will need to be replace with a=> WR30X10093 Ice Maker Assembly
I don't know if you have an ice maker but when my ice dispenser is full my fridge beeps because the ice can no longer go into the tray because it is full so I have to empty the tray. and the beep stops it also beeps when the water filter needs changing. I hope this helps
Has it stopped because it ain't gettin water? Or has it quit because of internal failure of some sort. A nice thing to know is just how ice makers work. The ice maker does all the thinking. It calls for water and it knows when to take a dump. Nothing else in the ice box makes the ice maker do what it do. If you have no ice in the mold add some H2O to it and see if it indeed kicks out some ice. If it does then you needs ta look at replacing the water valve and even the water filter (I would). If you have ice in the mold but none in the bucket then that could be the ice mild thermostat. An easy fix. I have repair photos, video, and manual: HERE
Your model has an electronic ice maker part number Click Here=> WR30X10093 When the electronic ice maker fails you usually need to replace the complete ice maker. You can test the ice maker by filling the tray with tap water. If the water freezes aand then drops the ice then the water control on the back of your refrigerator is the reason. The water control valve is Click Here=> WR57X10032 Either way let me know your results, Thank You, Sea Breeze
Most likely the water control valve on the rear of the refrigerator is defective for the ice maker side of the valve. Try filling the ice maker with tap water and let freeze. If the ice drops and cycles and does not refill then the water valve is the problem. If the ice maker does nothing when you try this the ice maker is the reason. Send me your model number and I can tell you the parts that need replaced. Let me know, Thanks, Sea Breeze
I have had the same problem with two different portable ice makers, the ice tray inside is broken so you will have to send it to them and get it fixed. Hopefully eventually they will make the tray out of a stronger plastic.
I have a Hoshizaki KM-250BAF that is making 3 beeps then pauses and them makes 3 beeps again. If I unplug the ice maker and plug it in it continues to make the 3 beeps. The manual does not mention anything about beeps. Can anyone help?
