Inside the camera, check the brass contacts where the battery connects to the camera. Clean it with rubbing alcohol (use a cotton swab) and try to turn it on after insterting the battery.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. On your computer make sure you are looking at the correct folder. This is a common problem.
Another thing is if the camera is shooting the pictures in the RAW mode, you will need the proper software in the computer to see the RAW format pictures.

Hi,
I'm sorry to tell that PowerShot SD 630 does not support SDHC cards over 2 gig.
If you want the camera to take a card over 2 gig then you are stuck standard SD cards.
The other camera does support the card because it's a higher model.

I've read nothing but good things about Art Plus Digital Recovery software, but if it's not working I would keep trying different software until I find one that works. I would make sure your SD card is not set to the locked position before trying to recover your images.

I just realized that the software disc I received with the purchase of my SD630 is not even compatible with this camera! No wonder I've been having issues trying to download these DAMNED pictures all the time!!!!!!!!!
