SOURCE: we need to find a

Here's my solution. I purchased an 8mm zinc-plated brass hex standoff from http://www.mcmaster.com (part number 92080A053). It is 25mm in length and has internal threads for an M4 screw. It fit perfectly into the nylon gear plug without modification. I had a colleague from work bore out a hole with his drill press (removing the internal threads) and turn down the exterior with a lathe to create a weak spot (mechanical fuse). See the attached image for the finished product. It doesn't match the original dimensions exactly but it is close and will suffice. You don't necessarily have to do the extra machining work if you don't have access to that equipment, but as jeffrey_w325 states in his post, this part is supposed to be the weak link and fail first. If you don't machine the part down, just be extra careful when using the pasta attachment. Good luck!4_3_2012_1_04_19_am.jpg

KitchenAid doesn't sell any internal parts for the KitchenAid pasta attachments, the only thing to do is buy a replacement, if it is just the pasta roller you can purchase the KPSA, if not the others are just sold in the KPRA pack

It needs either oil or the gear has slipped. A machine repair person, such as a sewing machine repair might be able to help you out for a small fee. Good Luck!

Kitchen aid pasta roller is locking up

You will need to follow your nose and carefully dismantle it to see where the fault is. As far as I am aware Kitchen Aid supply no parts for this accessory, it comes as a complete unit only.

You are probably missing or have a bad cog in the setting gears.

Where can i get gears for kitchenaid pasta roller

Not a solution, just want to echo the problem. There are solutions for the shaft, but when I opened this up I found a stripped nylon gear attached to the shaft. Kinda sucks: I recently replaced the nylon worm gear in the mixer, now I have to do the same in the spaghetti cutter. I can't find the part or any mention of it anywhere.
