Connect the RED probe(+) to the Pointed side of the battery and the other probe(-) to the other side of the battery.
Also try these simple trick to find out your remote control working or not....
Point the remote control towards the Camera of a Mobile Camera phone, with the camera on. While pressing remote, we can see a light (Infra Red) coming from its IR LED through the Mobile Camera if the Remote is working.

I have a Digital Lab DLU-5004B universal remote. The codes for a RCA TV do not work on my TV

If the codes for your Digital Lab DLU-5004B universal remote are not working with your RCA TV, there are a few things you can try to troubleshoot the issue:
  1. Check the manufacturer's website: Some manufacturers may have updated or additional codes available for their TVs. You can check the manufacturer's website to see if there are any new codes that may work with your TV.
  2. Try a different code: If the codes provided in the remote's manual are not working, you can try using a different code for your TV brand. You can find a list of codes for different TV brands online or in the manual for your universal remote.
  3. Check the remote's battery: Make sure the remote's battery is charged and properly installed. A weak or dead battery can cause the remote to malfunction.
  4. Reset the remote: Resetting the remote may help resolve any issues with the remote's programming. To reset the remote, remove the battery and press any button on the remote for at least 15 seconds. Then, reinsert the battery and try the codes again.
  5. Check the TV's compatibility: Some TVs may not be compatible with universal remotes, in which case you will need to use the TV's original remote or a different universal remote that is compatible with your TV.
If these troubleshooting steps do not resolve the issue, it is possible that there is a problem with the remote or the TV itself. In this case, it is recommended to bring your TV and remote to a professional for further diagnosis and repair.

My remote doesn't work after we programmed a universal remote

Check the remote control for its infrared emission. Check it with fresh batteries. Check it by pressing all the keys. You can detect the presence of infra-red emission from the remote control, using a cell-phone camera. If you wish to get more details about how to check a remote control, please visit this site. One among the posts has details about it. In some cases, the remote control might need to clean.

We have a Hisense TV. The remote does not work right. We put new batteries in it and it still doesn't work right. Hard to shut off and change channels.

Assuming it is the original remote, that is all the testing possible. Taking out the batteries, let it sit for 30 seconds and put in fresh batteries is my only other idea. It sounds like the remote is defective or was dropped or has liquid damage. If you have a universal remote, program it for your TV and try it. If this IS a universal remote, sometimes you need to try different programming codes. Best of luck!

Nexxtech 1519001c universal

Check the remote control for its infrared emission. If you wish to get more details about how to check a remote control, check the sites linked here. Before doing anything, check the battery contacts at the battery compartment of the remote control, for any rust or dust accumulated, which prevents a good battery contact. Clean the well before testing.

Can't figure out problem with civic!!

ok, the solution for it is very simple.
get it to autozone and ask them to do an alternator test to see if the alternator is producing energy if you are the kind of person that doesn't know anything about cars.
if you are a semi-skilled person then get a voltimeter and test the battery with the car on. and the positive lead with positive and negative with negative, it should read about 14 or more.
if you go to autozone or o'reilly then ask to see the voltage on their little tester. and if you see a voltage of around 14 then you can be sure that the problem is not your alternator.
thank you
if your alternator test fine then the next step would be to check your battery. turn the headlights on with car off, then voltage should not go below 10 volts when you plug the voltimeter.
