Question about Pioneer VSX-D710S Receiver

JVC HR-S7600U VCR. Playback issues with VHS & SVHS tapes.

I have a JVC Super VHS VCR model HR-S7600U. When I playback VHS or SVHS tapes normally get nice clean video on TV. THe display screen on the VCR shows whether a SVHS tape is plated by displaying SSVHS on the screen. My problem is seems conincidently after a tape was inserted the VCR now thinks that when a regular VHS tape is inserted, the VCR thinks it's a SVHS tape. The picture comes out as snow on the TV screen. Did inseerting a tape messed up a sensor in the VCR, or does it need a good cleaning. I have another JVC VCR HR-DD840U regular VHS and had it cleaned by a Tech and he said it was contaminated with dirt. Is that what is happening here. If you have any ideas I would appreciate it . Thank You in advance.

Super vhs tapes has an extra hole on the side where you lift the flap to see the tape the pin inside the machine must be stuck.I have had no problems with this as i have jvc super vcr s as they are great machines also take the lid off and clean the heads around the drum see how you go.

Program a JVC remote to operate a SONY CD/DVD Player (DVP-NC85H)

Becuase this model IS a DVD player, the remote controller will not allow another of the same type. This remote can be programmed to control a TV, Cable Box, DBS tuner, and VCR. It will not control VHS or another DVD player

Forgot how to record (dual) tape to tape (been a while)......can not remember sequence of buttons to press or if i need to press buttons at the same time (i.e. Trying to record 1 cassette tape to another...

The left side is usually the playback deck and the right side is the record deck.put in a tape on the left side and push play. Then push the record button first and while holding it down ,the play button on the right side deck. One deck will not have record buttons on it,and that is the playback deck.

Audio Problems playing VHS tapes with Denon AVR 1910

Did it EVER work as expected with VCR audio through the HDMI or are we working through that right now assuming it can?

I don't have a detailed manual, but the rear panel clearly shows some analog-only outputs (and NO digital ones) for the section called DVD/VCR. Internally, I'm sure there are proper analog-digital-converters for recording VHS to the native DVD-R, but VHS VCR's are NOT inherently digital audio devices so I'm pretty sure you need to run an analog RCA pair for the VHS video.

Hey Tex

You are on the right track, sounds like a noisy volume control. Can often be repaired with a squirt of cleaner spray into the potentiometer assembly. But I suggest you use crc2-26 contact lubricant spray, not silicone spray which is a great materials lubricant, but not electrical. Worst case, the Vol Potentiometer, may have to be replaced. Go for the CRC first and see how it goes. Good Luck, happy FixYa

HOOKING UP A STEREO EQUALIZER

I bet your receiver has a Tape Monitor Loop and your EQ has one, too.

Run the EQ into the Tape Monitor loop - all out's on one to in's on the other.

Then run the deck to the EQ Tape Monitor, same connection pattern but REC may be substituted for IN and Play(back) for OUT.

The EQ also has a switch that decides if it will affect the Source or the Tape. So the EQ can be used for recording or playback of a tape PLUS any other analog source you listen to.
