Virgin Mobile "Network Busy" Message

Constant Network Busy message when trying to make calls. I get full bars, but if I try to call I immediately get a busy dial tone and a popup message saying "Network busy, please try again later" I cannot send text messages either. I get an error that says "Message unable to send after multiple attempts" Virgin Mobiles customer service offered absolutely no help and kept telling me to wait for three days, even after talking to the tech department. Now what?

I would also like to mention that I have reset the phone plenty of times and my MDN/MSID numbers are completely correct. All of the Virgin Mobile phones in my area are having this problem.

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

SOURCE: Error 96 While text messaging, Help please?

I have the same problem. You have to use the area code, the full 10 digit number. Even the phone numbers stored in your memory need to include the area code for the text to send.

we had the same thing happen to us, we took the phone to the local verizon store and they hooked it to the computer and did an upgrade and now it works fine

SOURCE: Not able to send message

I work at o2 in Bury, if you goto nokias website you can do a firmware upgrade for both handsets free of charge. You do need the USB data cable (DKU-2, DKU-5 or CKU5 cables) that came in the box

Support site is here, http://www.nokia.co.uk/get-support-and-software/download-software/device-software-update if there is an availiable update it will reformat your handset with that.

If you want to see if its done this, before you update key in * # 0 0 0 0 # and take note of the Version then do the same once finished. If all else fails, so long as your phone is still under manufacturers warranty you should be able to have it repaired at a Nokia Service Centre located around the UK, you'll find these here!

Hope this helps

I have a Virgin Mobile Restore phone and I am unable to make calls. When I try to place a call, I get a recorded message saying, "The feature code you've entered is not valid, message 1 switch...

Tell them to put a tech support or maintenence ticket on your account so the a specialist can look at it. Tell them you already did the reprogramming from the programming menu. I have fixed this five times and it takes normally 24 to complete

I am new to texting. When I have entered my message and press 'send' I am asked for a 'centre number' -where do I find this please?

The centre number means the SMS service centre number. This is the number that your message is initially sent to before being forwarded on by your network provider.
It depends on the network as to which number you enter, but here is a fairly up to date list of UK SMS centre numbers:
O2 - +447802000332 (contract) +447802092035 (pay as you go) T-Mobile - +447958879879 Orange - +447973100973 Vodafone - +447785016005 Tesco Mobile - +447802092035 Virgin - +447958879890 3 / Three - +447782000800 ASDA Mobile - +447785014315 GiffGaff - +447802002606

If this doesn't work, try calling your network provider and they'll give you their current SMS centre number.

All the best,
plainnash

Unable to make/recieve calls get 'network busy' message but can make/recieve texts

Since the network 'shows' busy, it could actually mean that the network is jammed. This may allow text messages, but not calls. The problem is with the network and not your phone.
Contact your mobile service operators to know what the issue is. They could be working on the system. But if they are not, I'm sure would able to restore full network so you can make and receive calls.

Please do let me know if this helps.
Have a lovely day.
