Question about Mustek A3 USB Flatbed Scanner

Mustek Scan Express A3 USB Scanner

I've had this scanner for two years and over the last 2 months, I am seeing colored vertical lines (red, orange, purple, blue, green and yellow) running the length of the scan. It's like someone took a paintbrush, and went down the length of the scan. It starts out covering about 1/4 across, then the more more I scan, the worse it gets. I have tried re-installing the software, downloading drivers, but no change occurs

I've had a similar problem with the streaks, lines and color bleeds appearing in the scan. Try uninstalling the all software and drivers for the scanner and reinstall. Worked for me. Have had to do this a couple of times since I've owned the scanner... about three to four years now.

I have purchased a second hand mustek A3 usb scanner, it powers up but wont scan. I have downloaded the drivers from Mustek. When I click on the direct scan icon on my desktop it opens the programme but...


Hi,
When is tah last time you can scan with your scanner? You can always try to uninstall and reinstall the software of the scanner to fix the problem with scanning. and if there is an available update for teh software or firmware of teh device try to do so. ok?.

A Dark Vertical line appears 1 inch into the left side of scan


Most Mustek scanners have a black inside cover on the lid, this can give a black line down the side of the job.
ether cover the inside of the lid with white paper or place a bigger sheet on top of the sheet to be scanned!

Scanner won't initialize


Hi,
It could be something to do with the bundled software having a missing or corrupt TWAIN32 file.. But you can Scan using Windows XP itself.
