How to put the mute function on a jvc kd g801 for my phone

Im trying to put the function on my radio so when sombody rings me it goes to mute ive had the function on before but cant remember how to do it it as been disabled and i dont no why it doesnt even tell you in the manual how to to do it

I have a Frontech E-cam JIL 2221 webcam and have installed driver as specified. Still the microphone (inbuilt in webcam) is not functioning. How to make it work and check its functionality?


click start control panel sounds and audio devices select advanced there might be a tick in the mute box untick it or select audio from the microphone drop down list make sure you have the right one selected and in the volume box make sure the microphone box has a tick in it or select the voice tab and make sure that you have the right media selected also select volume make sure the box for microphone has a tick in it

Many Dell PCs have an internal speaker that will allow sounds and even music to play - it is just not as good as the external types that offer sub woofers and stereo sound. As long as you're hearing the familiar Windows Sounds and not simple beeps - your sound card drivers are probably ok.

This makes me think that you've either inserted the speaker plug into the wrong jack on the PC or have an issue with the speakers themselves. Generally, these jacks are color coded. If yours are, make sure that speakers are connected to the GREEN jack. If not color coded there should be an indication of an arrow pointing OUT or a speaker icon near the speaker jack. If still no luck, it is possible that the cord between the plug and the speakers has gotten pinched or broken. Try plugging a pair oh head phones into the jack - or plug the speakers into another device with a speaker jack. I'm pretty sure you'll get your answer after doing that. Some final thoughts: Maybe your speakers need power? Are they plugged in? Is the outlet powered? Is there a power indicator? Is the volume knob turned to minimum?

If you still have problems - provide the model number of your Dell PC and we can dig some more - but I think you'll find the problem if you follow the steps above.

The speaker of my head phone is working and the mic is not working. the head phone is fine and i have also used another to check but the problem exist then also what to do?


I think you Mic is mute.
  • Go to control panel.
  • Click on Sounds and Audio Devices
  • Click on Advance Tab
  • See the Microphone is it mute.
  • If mute then uncheck the mute.

Im getting static in the background


Try muting all input sources that you do not need: line-in, mic, etc.

You can also try the card in a different slot. Some slots are closer to devices in the case that can cause noise.

Sound from only 2 of 4 speakers


Use the software that came with the card and make sure that it knows what you are using. Which would be "4CH Speaker". If this doesnt work, open Control panel > Sounds and Audio Devices > Volume> Device Volume advanced and from the options menu make sure that none of the 4 speakers are muted.

My laptop is Fujitsu Siemens AMILO Pro Celeron. somehow the sound is not coming... i dont know why??? i tried my best to get to know the problem... but nothing seems to be helpful

There are four ways to turn sound down or mute it on a laptop.

In the Windows Desktop there is normally an icon of a speaker near the digital clock on the bottom far right. You can rest or click your mouse over this icon and a volume slider pops up onscreen. In this pop up the slider can be turned down or the mute box checked.

A laoptop also has special function keys activated by the Fn key near the left side of the spacebar. This Fn key has letter colors that are different than the rest of the keys. Pressing and holding this Fn key and also using another key activates the Special Functions. Usually pressing Fn +PgUp or PgDn and or End will raise lower or mute the sound in that order. the Pg Up keys, etc. have other lettering on them to indicate the special function. Often this is just and icon.

With these hints you may be able to get your sound back on. If not, tell me how and under what circumstance you lost the sound. It could be a deeper setting in your laptop.

Sound problem


Open the Volume icon at the bottom right of the screen and choose 'properties'
This will open a small box. Make sure all the level indicators are at maximum and nothing is muted. Also check in the soundcard software if you have selected any "effects". If you have, try playing around with the different options and see if that helps.

If this does not help, try the speakers on a different PC. Should you encounter the same problem there as well, it could be that the speakers are defective.
