SOURCE: Gigabyte GA-K8N Pro-SLI won't boot and no beep codes

bueno suerte

SOURCE: Please I need a picture

> HDD LED == hard-disk drive Light Emitting Diode (a "lamp" that lights-up when you are reading/writing files to/from your disk-drive)

> RST SW == the (optional) "reset" switch/button on the face-plate

> SPK == the internal PC loudspeaker

> PW SW == the power on/off switch/button on the face-plate

First, connect the "PWR SW", so that the ON/OFF button works.
It's much less important that the other wires be connected.
For example, if you never press the RESET button on the face-plate, you don't need to connect that button to the motherboard.

SOURCE: my PC running a Gigabyte GA-M55SLI-S4 motherboard

Check your CPU make sure its placed correctly and that you don't have too much contact grease, you only need a very small amount.
If that's not the problem try re-seating your ram and video card.
Other then that look at the power supply could be under powered!
hope this has helped

Hi, if this is Windows PC, you need to download an ISO disk and burn it, along with a PW reset program (like Ophcrack)- or store it on a memory stick. Then reboot, press F2 to enter the BIOS setup and change the sequence devices are read in the boot sequence. Move USB ports up top and CD rom second before HD. Then save and reboot with USB/CD with ISO inserted. Use the ISO SW to navigate, use the PW recovery program to reset PW.

My laptop doesn't boot properly. I did the memory test and it passed, then I did the HD quick test and failed log error code 0303. How can I get my laptop work properly again? Thanks Valentina

Hi Valentina, the error code 0303 indicates that the one of the sector for your hard drive failed. You need to get a new hard drive. If your computers warranty is still active you can get a replacement from dell technical support if not you can also purchase one online in this web site: www.dell.com .

Please follow the diagnosis outlined in this article to check whether the backlight lamp or the inverter board are the root cause of the problem or not:
http://www.fixya.com/support/r6430776-troubleshooting_laptop_power_failures

If you connect the external monitor & nothing is displayed on it, then this means that both the backlight lamp & the inverter board are fine. The main indicators in these cases are the sound, and the hard drive LED on the laptop case. If the laptop sounds just like it always does for a minute or two after being turned on, it means it's going ahead and booting the operating system, but the video processor or part of the motherboard circuit for video output has failed. If the laptop just sits there and beeps when you turn it on, or if you hear the fan but not the hard drive chuckling with its active LED flashing away, it means the laptop isn't getting as far as trying to boot the operating system. While this could be due to any number of hardware problems, the most common and easiest to
troubleshoot or repair is RAM failure. If your laptop has two RAM modules installed, try booting with just one and then the other in the primary slot. If your laptop only has one RAM module, you might consider buying one online from a site with a good memory selector, like Crucial.com

I installed a new WD Cavier 500 Gb hasr drive ot

Your problem could be that the hard disk is not ACTIVE.
Boot up with a DOS disk (floppy or CD or USB) and run FDISK, select 4 to Display Partition Info. If the C drive does not have A under Status then press ESC and select 2 to Set active partition and then set Partition C to active.
