Timing chain broke does piston hit valves

Usually when the chain or timing belt broke, There is always damage to the valves and you don't wanna take the risk of not checking the valves. Good luck

Will the valves will connect with the piston if the timing belt broke?

I'm assuming you meant if the timing belt broke would the pistons hit your valves? 2 parts to this, #1 if your belt just broke you should be fine, #2 if your belt skipped time significantly (highly improbable) only then would your internal components have a chance of hitting each other from components trying to open and close at improper times. This could damage both intake/exhaust valves, other valve train components and even damage the head of your pistons.

Timing belt not broke, but engine has no compression on a 1997 chrysler sebring.

You have a zero clearance engine, meaning there is no room for clearance between the pistons when they're up and the valves are closed. If the belt broke there is a high probability that the valve(s) came in contact with the pistons and caused significant damage to the valve, valves, or cylinder head.

Timing belt broke are the valves bent? driving it at the time it broke

Yes this is and interference engine and will be damaged if you were driving when the belt broke more than likely.

Timing belt Broke are valves worped?

Hello momma_green: My name is Roger and I will help you. The 2005 Chevy Aveo 1.6 engine is a interference motor. That means if the timing belt breaks. The valves will be bent. I have one in my shop now that the belt broke on it. Bent all 16 valves and damaged all 4 pistons. This is not a forgiving motor. I wish I could tell you good news but I cant. Should you need further help please just ask. Please rate the answer you received. Thank You for using Fix Ya. Roger

Just broke timing belt on my 300zx,does thi

Yes your engine is a interference engine,
which mean valve to piston hit.

But replace the timing belt.
Possible you didn't bent a valve.
Depend on the condition when the T/B broke,

Let me know.....

Help it's cold here in Ohio

The "wire" you broke is probably the tube for the pilot assembly. It supplies gas to the pilot which in turn fires the burners thru a gas valve. The other option is you broke the thermocouple which causes the gas valve to open (its a safety feature incorporated to keep gas explosions from happening). You will need to replace the broken part before using this unit--period. It is not worth the danger involved trying to bypass these safety measures. BE SAFE!!!
