The FH error code on your Kenmore Elite washing machine is an indicator
that there is a problem with incoming water. When there is little water
coming into the machine, the FH code will appear and the washer will
stop. There are a couple of common problems you can check while you are
resetting the FH error code. You will need to remove the power supply to
the washer to reset the code.
Look for the "Pause/Cancel" button on the washer control
panel. The button will be below the digital time clock and to the lower
right of the wash cycle selector.
Press the "Pause/Cancel" button twice to cancel the wash cycle. Unplug the Kenmore Elite washer from the wall outlet.
Check for kinks in the water supply hose while the washer
does not have power. Turn off the water supply spigots and remove the
hoses from the back of the washer. Check the port screens at the hose
connections for sediment buildup and clean as necessary.
Connect the water supply hoses back to the washer and turn on the water spigots. Plug the washer cord back into the wall outlet.
Select the wash cycle and press the "Start" button.
'FH' for whirlpool washers decodes as 'no water inlet'.
If you have checked that both hot and cold water taps are turned on fully and the hoses are not kinked or squashed at the back, it is worth while checking both of the water inlet filters. Turn the taps off and remove the water hoses at the washer end. Inside each inlet port there is normally a little filter which should just slide out. Clean if necessary and replace them and the hoses. If after turning the taps back on there is no improvement, the problem is symptomatic of a malfunctioning hot or cold water control valve or malfunctioning control board. Sorry but it needs a service call to confirm ;-0(
If this has assisted you please consider a 4 thumbs up for the rating.
Thanks and good luck,
the hot water tap has to be on aswell because it picks up the outside temperature and if its too cold it will ask for a squirt of hot water because the water has to be at a certain temp to react with the detergents properly just this model that does it

Hi, "FH" is a No Water Detect error. It is an indication that you either have no water coming into the washer, or very little water at all. Check whether the water taps are turned on sufficiently, the inlet hoses are not kinked, the water inlet valve is not clogged, you don't have a siphoning issue, and/or the drain pump is working. Thank you !!
Probably too late, but here it goes:
FH means some cicle is taking too long time.
Replace the inlet electrical valve. It probably wont open enough and the water flow is not enough to fill to level in time. This should cost you 10€ and is easily done by anyone.
Just remove the top of the machine (two bolts on the rear and slide to the back), disconnect the valve (electrical and water input and output), push the lockers and twist the valve free.
