I have a problem with my Disc Tray for my Xbox 360.
I was playing a game and was going to quit, so I got to my 360 and pressed the button right next to the disc tray on the console. Nothing happens. I'm pressing the button some more times and still nothing happens. So, my button for the disc tray doesn't work!
What I wanna know is if there's anyway I could open the tray through the 360 Dashboard or something. I know it can be opened when it's NOT a game in the tray through the Dashboard...but is it possible to open it when IT IS a game inside through dashboard? I've searched for a way but haven't found anything. Thankful for answers.

1: Take a close look at the bottom side of your game, movie, or music disc (the side without a label or image). Are there scratches? Excessive scratches or smudges can prevent your console from reading the disc. Hold the disc by the edges without touching the top or bottom surfaces. Using a soft, clean, slightly damp cloth, lightly wipe from the center of the disc outward.2: Try other discs to determine whether the problem happens with any disc or only with this particular disc. If multiple game discs, DVDs, or CDs will not play: Make sure the media type and the disc region code are compatible with the console.3: If your Xbox 360 console can't play multiple game discs, try clearing your system cache. Here's how: On the console, go to My Xbox, and then select System Settings. Select Memory. Highlight any storage device, and then press Y on your controller.Select Clear System Cache. If you still can't play a game disc, try the next solution.4: If the solutions above did not resolve your problem, please send Microsoft your Xbox 360 console for repair..
The open tray and unplayable disc is because the lens isn't strong on the drive and needs to have a Pot calibration done to it to make the lens signal stronger. That should fix the open tray/unplayable disc issue. I have done this to quite a few drives and all have been working fine since.
xbox 360? you open the disc tray by pressing the eject button directly above the tray, insert the disc and then close the disc in the same manner. if the game does not automatically start up then you will be required to go to the row that says My Xbox and the very first tab should say the game you have entered. you play it by pressing A
