SOURCE: macine trips breaker between steps 2 and 3

Hi,
It sounds like either the heating element is faulty (needing replacement) or the main motor is worn-out and needs replacement.
The only way to tell is to see which part is working correctly.

SOURCE: Hi David here.My washing machine

You will need to see the voltages to the sections , the spin, the drain and then confirm if the voltage stops from the program controller or the motor by itself.
If program controller stops action , check all inputs, check thedoor switch, check the connections, check the board.
If not the error canbe the board itself.

Thermostat tripping

I just fixed my Maytag's bi-metal switch. I smacked it with the plastic end of a screwdriver. Problem solved. You may have venting issues in the dishwasher if it's continually overheating.

I have a cadet heater not working. When I try to push the reset button it does not seem to go in at all. Do I need to replace the complete heater unit or could it be the thermostat?

I had this same problem, which required a new heater. The thermostat tested fine. A bypass of the thermostat switch was attempted and the unit still would not work. The reset switch had never tripped to indicate a problem.

Reset button keeps popping. Have reset this 3 times now and it happens at night when no one is using water. This is a model 502 heater with dual elements.

The problem I have encountered in this is the thermostat is going bad and tripping out. Inspect the ends of the elements and make sure ther eare no black ends on the wires showing elements may be shorting out causing thermostat to trip. More than likely change the thermostat out and you should be good to go.
They are not to exspensive and local hardware stores carry them.

Faulty Diplomat Dishwasher - tripping mains fuse

Hello,

My dishwasher a diplomat 12 program (hja8640) was doing exactly the same where every now and again when turned on at the plug it would trip. After engineers coming out several times and failing to fix it, they condemed it. New one was supplied, however did exactly the same thing. The electrician came back, checked the RCD power breaker and this was fine. It was then discovered that some dishwashers and washing machines send out a lot of earth leakage, combine this with other appliances on in the house can be enough to trip.

Soloution. The electrician removed the kitchen circut from the RCD breaker and intalled another breaker RCD just for the kitcehn loop, this therefore means that the kitchen has a seperate trip from the rest of the house, and touch wood, has solved the problem. This mind you has taken about three months to work out so i hope it saves you some time.

Always use a fully qualified electrician though.

Thanks.
