Clicking sound? most receivers resort to this trying to determine what the input source is, and mainly if they are trying to determine if it is a analog or digital input signal, try setting the input source switch to AUTO if available, this way it will recognize the signal and switch to that input mode.

My sub woofer has been hooked up for almost 2 months and now all of a sudden is blanking out frequently like it has a bad blue tooth connection but they couldn't possibly be any closer. Any suggestions or...

Break the connection and power everything off for at least 10 minutes. Take the sub out of the room. Turn on the tuner and give it a few minutes to come "up to operating temp" (let it run for a bit).
After a while, turn the tuner off for another 10 min. Bring the sub back in; turn in the tuner, let it run a bit, re-establish the handshake between the woofer and tuner. That should take care of it. If it doesn't, one of the units (probably the sub) is in need of repair or replacement. Just because it's only a couple of months old doesn't mean anything any longer.

Receiver will not turn on and is making a clicking sound TX-NR 609

This is the same problem i've had with my POS nr609. I will never buy Onkyo again.. Everyone warned me about the poor quality.. This thing worked for a year and a half, blew the amp., replaced and now another year and a half, f'd again. Save your time, buy a Denon or a Harmon Kardon. Better quality, same features.. My rx-6000v acts like every thing is fine but can not get any sound. not even out of earphone jack. got any ideas?

It sounds like this unit is in protect mode. See hte link below for more info on that. One thing to check: turn the unit on paying particular attention to any clicking that you hear. You should hear an initial click as the unit turns on followed a few seconds later by another one. The second click is the speaker protection relay. If you don't hear the second click, then the unit is likely in protect mode. Feel free to post additional questions after review of the link information below.

My house got hit by lighting and now my receiver will turn on but no sound

I am assuming that you unplugged the unit and let it sit for a few minutes then plugged it in and tried it? Sounds like it either fried the amp. Maybe a wire shorted but you will have to get into the unit to trouble shoot more.

Pioneer VSX-D702s receiver - no sound - need help/circuit plan

The unit is in what is called "protect" mode. A problem was detected in the final output stage and that stage is turned off. The most common reason for this is failed output transistors. This is a simple repair for any repair shop and will cost about $10-$15 for parts plus the local labor charge. Expect that the output transistors plus a few supporting parts to be replaced. Most of the time, only one channel is badm, but due to the design of the protection circuit, both channels are turned off.
