Your complaint is the reason that Windows Vista has mostly gone down in history as a "lemon" operating system.. It really wasn't all that bad... but its reputation is that bad. Still, if your computer is a really good one, I would recommend having the Windows 7 operating system installed in it. I'll tell you what has helped me the most on my old Windows Vista..... besides uninstalling software that I had a suspicion was conflicting with the rest of my programs.... and that was installing the Eusing Registry Cleaner.. It's free and seems to do a good job. Download, install and run Eusing through its paces a couple of times.. I'll bet you see an improvement.. Also, you might want to uninstall any programs you know you don't need. It also might help for you to, in your bottom, left-hand corner, run the msconfig program, and work on your Start Menu.. You'll find all kinds of garbage trying to start up as soon as you start up your computer... and much of it is totally unnecessary on startup and causes your computer to run like molasses.. You might want to get some assistance from a knowledgeable friend before trying something like this... If you wanted to try it on your own, there are a lot of helpful sites on the web. To uninstall most undesirable programs, you need to get into the Control Panel.. then on into something like "Programs & features".... and start uninstalling... BUT ONLY what you know you don't want or need. NOW, what you might want to consider is to go treat yourself to a new computer... You'll find a lot of really good computers at some really good prices... and you know you deserve a new one..

Laptop vista

Dear Friend,

The only security system that I know can be Firewall or Antivirus. Now, every time you try to install something, Windows prompt you with a warning windows saying that a particular software is about to install and you only have a Yes or No key. If this is the case, click Yes.

If this is something related to your Antivirus or Firewall, disable it and try to install. After installation, enable it back to keep your computer secure.

Good Luck!

1. keep connect your printer and switch on,
2. re-install vista
3. it will detect all ports automatically and fix it
4. thru this u can find solution for your problem..
5. if vista ask for the driver, then install your printer driver from cd

all the best... try it

HP6210 all in one set-up won't work on Vista System Laptop

Did you get an error when installing,or did it install. What happened when you plunged in the printer
when the software told you to plug it in, did windows say found new hardware and you let it install a windows driver or did you shut down the window so it would install the hp driver.
Go to start, control panel, programs, look and see if the hp software is listed,if not it did not install,
try it again.
With the hp printer plugged into your laptop, go to devise mgr and look under portable device,it should
show your printer model#, rt click on the model # and then on driver, does it say hp or windows,if it says
windows then the hp driver did not get installed, put in the disk, then click on update driver and pick browse computer, and point it to the disk.

HP has a vista driver for your printer, so you need to check the set up info that came with it to see
if the vista driver in on the disk. You can always just download the driver software from HP,pick the vista
one and install it. But make sure that the software is removed from the program list if it was in there before you install again. Hope it works out, its very hard to cover everything so if any more Q's
just post back.

Can't install software for D53 on my new Vista PC

If it is older software, it is probably not made to run on Vista Operating Systems. I would check the market for something Vista compatible. Samsung might even have updated software on their website for purchase. But you might want to do some bargain hunting around the net first.
Or you could always just connect the camera to the computer and copy the pictures into the "My pictures" folder on your computer. And with Vista's "Windows Image Viewer" (or something of that nature) you can do basic things to the photos, like adjust brightness, contrast, or saturation. You could also crop the photos, and more. The Vista provided image viewer is probably equal to what you could do to photos in the software.

Downloading Problem

I have always advised folk to leave the software disk in the box when connecting cameras and the like to a NTFS system. Plug it into USB port and Windoze will find it. Should be the same with Vista I guess Leave the disk in the box- or of you have installed stuff uninstall it. And let Windoze do the work.
