SOURCE: 2004 John Deere 4410 Hydo. What is the process /

  • The manual for your model is here http://manuals.deere.com/cceomview/OMLVU13193_H2/Output/Index.html?tM=HO
  • When you get to the page go over to the left side of the page and scroll way down in the table of contents for the manual until you get to the "service" area. It has the axle steps in the "transmission" area. This is the complete manual and should serve your purpose.

Regards, Tony

1992 f150 front axle to diff. seal replacement

OK, you must remove the front axle assembly to access the axle flange and then the seal, follow the instructions at the link but once the axle is out remove the axle flange from the front diff and replace the axle seal, use a seal driver and lube the new seal with lithium grease (white grease). You will need an air impact to get the flange nut off, replace it with a new one (do not reuse) and do not over tighten it. Cinch it down and then go about 1/8 more of full nut rotation to preload carrier bearing setting then spike in place. Ford F150 Front Axle Replacement Part 1

Axle seal leak

If it is in the front axle, it could be the bearing seal if it is near the wheel or transmission axle seal if it is at the output of the transmission. If it is the rear axle, then there is just a seal at each rear wheel. If it is the wheel seal of either the front or rear, you have to remove the:
  • tire
  • brakes
  • possibly the back plate
  • bearing assembly
At any rate, if you are looking to do this yourself, get either a service manual from an autoparts store or from the dealership. Manual from the dealership will be the most comprehensive but most expensive.

1999 dodge cummins 2500 front axel seals

you need to pull off wheels, brakes, rotor /unit hub bearing, both axles and intermediate shaft, as well as the vac disconnec ton the front axle tube. if only the right side leaks then only then only pull the right axle and intermediate shaft and vac disco. it is a trick with a miller tool to replace the seal. the left side seal is inside the diff and the carrier has to come out to replace it. pete
