Try calling Shure at 800-516-2525. They are experts on their products and can help you troubleshoot. It's nearly impossible impossible to diagnose this in a forum.

Battery levels seem to be falling very quickly when mic is in use

The PGX2 should get about 8 hours with an Energizer or Duracell battery. If yours does not, send it to Shure for repairs.

I have a Sennheizer evolution g2 transmitter and reciever to go my Sony EX3 - but the input level is too low - could this have to do with the frequence I'm on?

Hi,

It got nothing to do with the frequenty.
You can adjust the microphone gain in the handheld-menu. You can also adjust the receiver-output gain in his own menu.

Good luck,

Sennheiser ew 100 g2 handheld microphone loose coil in capsule?

I had a similar problem with a sure sm 57 that I used on a guitar amp. I don't know if this is the correct fix but it worked for me. I took thin strips of paper to use as spacers and placed them evenly around the coil. I used a hot melt glue gun and placed 3 small drops around the edge of the coil. Remove the spacers and the coil should be secure.

Akg handheld transmitter not working after impact

Microphone capsules are very delicate and I'm afraid it sounds like you have broken yours and it will have to be replaced. Take the mike back to where you purchased it and see if you can get it serviced or if they can recommend someone locally who does that.

My nady sp-1 fell and now it does not work, just a hum out of my speaker.

Unfortunately, you may have to have the microphone cartridge replaced if it was the microphone that fell.

Fingernails have mangled the rubber on-off button. Replacement?

Hmmm...apparently this is a common problem. So common, all you have to do is call the Shure parts ordering line (800-516-2525 opt 3), and ask for the "rubber button" for the PGX2 (SLX2) handheld transmitter. They are 81 cents apiece, but with a $10 minimum, you will end up buying six (or more).

Shure wireless UHF microphone

Make sure the microphone and the receiver are still broadcasting/receiving on the same channel.
Check that all of the appropriate connections are right from the receiver to the mixing board are connected as well.
I hope this helps!
God Bless you!

MXL 990 has really low output

These are really cheap mics! I have two dozen of them because what I do requires the mic to be expendable. The capsule is pretty fragile and just a little drop or hit to the mic can drastically alter the frequency response and output level. If you record with it and it has a hollow sound I would bet this is what happened. If you can generate white or pink noise out of your system, then record it. Just hold the mic in front of the speaker. Play it back and compare the tone of the recording to what you just heard. Hollow? There you are!
