I found the manual, and it just says to pull pin out of end of light. But I CAN'T! It's stuck. I'm afraid it's toast...

I pulled until I got a little (REALLY little) space between plug and base of bulb, and then I wedged a flat head screwdriver in there, and wiggled it back and forth, prying the pins out of the plug. It took a while, but I got it out and nothing was damaged. Pure pulling just did not make it happen this time. Maybe because I've been bad and not changed the bulb out in 2+ years, but anyway, it's DONE!

The Headlight Assembly is not difficult to remove but you do need to be careful NOT to pull on the Headlight Assembly and break the clips

1. Open the S60's hood and locate the pin that is behind the headlight assembly of the bulb that needs replacement. The pin has a handle on the top. Pull the pin straight out of the headlight assembly.

  • 2. Push on the back of the headlight assembly until it comes out the front of the S60. There is an electrical connection on the back of the assembly; unplug the connection.

  • 3. Press on both clamp on the assembly. The clamps are on either side. Push them in together so that the cover releases.

  • 4 Uncover the bulb by pulling on the small plastic cover that covers each bulb. Push the visible wire aside. Pull the bulb straight out.

  • 5 Push a new bulb in and push the metal wire back over it to secure the bulb in the assembly. Push the covers back on.

  • 6. Reconnect the electrical harness to the assembly and push the assembly back into place. Push the retaining pin all the way back down into place.

How to change a headlamp in a mercedes benz c280

When changing a headlamp in a mercedes benz c280 1995. Lift the hood latch on the inside of the car. This is located under the driver side of the car. Release the hoodlatch in the front. Open the hood and behind the headlamp (left or right), Remove the two clamps that hold the back cover onto the light. After this cover is removed, behind the headlight there is a wire behind the light that hold the light in. Squeeze the two wires together and pull them back. This will release the light. Remove the light from the socket. Place the new bulb in the socket. Remember not to touch the bulb with your fingers, this could cause the bulb to break if it gets the oil from your fingers onto the bulb. Once the bulb is replaced, put the wire back in place and replace the back cover of the light.

Top break light is not working. when trying to change bulbs I could not get lens cover off of assembly

Most G.M. cars and trucks have a cover under the hood that is held in place by plastic pins that have to be pulled up in the center to release the cover so you can lift it up. The headlight bulbs are then accessible. A retaining ring holds most of the headlight bulbs in place. Turn the ring counter clockwise to remove and the bulb should pull right out.

Can not get headlight bucket to come out far enough to replace bulb on my 2005 BUICK TERRAZA

There are 2 fasteners that hold the headlight in place, 1 screw and 1 pin per light.
Their location is on the top mounting flange of the headlight. The pins are located toward the center of the vehicle and the screw is located toward the outside.
For removal: turn the pin toward the light then pull it straight up removing it, next remove the screw and the headlight assembly and the light will pull strait out allowing access to the bulbs and sockets. Reverse the process for installation.

    Break lights not working properly

    hi
silly thing to sugest but would you have the brake/side light bulbs in the wrong way? if you look closley at the bulbs there is two pins either side on the round silver part. 1 pin sits higher than the other, make sure you fit the bulbs in the bulb holders to match the pins on the bulb sounds complicated but it realy is an easy mistake to make.

Replacing tail light bulbs on 2001 Toyota Sequoia

Remove the two screws holding the tail light cover in place along the edge of the tail light assembly.

After you remove the two screws in the back panel, you have to pull the assembly out towards the side of the vehicle. You cannot pull it straight back from the trunk or you will break the pins that hold the lens cover onto the side of the SUV.

There are two pins that allow the light cover to be secured against the back of the truck. One pin is towards the top, the other pin is towards the bottom.

    Twist out the bulb assembly.
    Pull out the bulb
    Insert the new bulb
Twist back in the bulb assembly
Place the pins over the pin holes in the light cover mold on the side of the truck
Push in gently Replace screws and you are done.
